You really have to moderate the amount of Bass Boost you dial in, as some audio tracks are heavy in bass and others lighter. I will try to post my settings this weekend.

I have it now to the point I no longer tweak it.

Two songs to listen to showcase how great the sound is to my friends is "Colors of the Rainbow by Sevenn ft Kathy" (edm)
This song seems like it wants to be a Infected Mushroom song lol

OK, I took some shots of my configuration. First off, in order to get any of it to work I first had to do this "Lock Effect Mode" Headset.
Even so, it is only working for USB music, and not Apple CarPlay. If anyone has that trick, let me know.

Here go the settings, starting with Spectrum Extension:

FirEqualizer: My trick here is to reduce low bass frequencies, focusing on the mids and highs as I like it. I use ViperBass later to bring in the low freqs, with an emphasis on the high end of low, thanks to this EQ pattern:

Field Surround effect:

Dynamic System is another bass booster, not sure why it is separate from ViperBass, but I split the effect between both:

Now, the centerpiece, ViperBass!:

And ViperClarity, for the high end!:

And that's the first time I've seen anyone post their Viper settings!

Again, if anyone knows how to make Viper apply to CarPlay, I would love to have that.

Checked across 3 different forums and reached out to multiple people, including the Honda Hack Dev.
No one has any insight on getting CarPlay to work. Viper4android wasn’t developed with it in mind.

Thanks for posting your settings...wow I didn't know V4A had so many different setting options! I purchased HondaHack Pro but haven't yet installed it. I've been debating if it's worth the risk and hassle but what do you think of the sound system after using V4A? The only reason I am considering using HondaHack is just to make the sound system sound good because, as you know, it sounds AWFUL otherwise. Do you get more bass from the subwoofer now? I can't really hear mine as it is now.

wow! thanks for the screenshots.
if youre on hondahack, definitely try viper! it helps alot, since the headunit has a horrible build-in EQ curve. lower-bass and highs @16k are the biggest flaws out of box.

i dont have pictures right now, but i usually boosted the lower-end bass (31-55hz ranges) and the highs @16k (viper clarity setting does the job!).
using the stock-speakers, paired with an aftermarket subwoofer (taped into front signal). it sounds very good now.

even without subwoofer, it sounds fine now. you might boost frequencies between 60-80hz aswell then.

This is great, thanks man. I'll give this a go when my warranty is done.

I can't say enough about how night and day the difference is with V4A!

Went from:
"Total Crap!"
To:
"Hey, this sounds pretty good!"

The stock subwoofer can actually generate enough bass, I thought for one minute maybe I had an engine vibration!

Hey, so I was demoing my Viper to someone at work. I use USB exclusively. He uses SiriusXM, so we tried that.
Seems that Viper inserts itself into some modes, and not others.

The following are not adjusted, and continue to sound awful:
* FM
* SiriuxXM
* CarPlay

The following DO get adjusted by Viper:
* USB
* Bluetooth Audio !

Well, what do you know? I can play the music on my phone after all via Bluetooth! I don't have to make USB sticks for the car.
Particularly since Honda USB function does not include Playlists.

Does everyone else observe this behavior?

Yup I get same exact behaviors also android auto gets adjusted by viper too.
Make sure to adjust your phones audio settings cause that kinda messes with viper.
