Stock si clutch from longevity point is untested due to the cars being so new, from a torque perspective it’s Probrably about as strong as my grandma trying to bench press. 15k miles already slipping, granted I do have a few track days and I’m tuned but come on Honda

I think the stock clutch will last a very long time (100k++) if you don't burn it out.

This might be a good place to post this. First some background, my 2018 Si is completely stock, always has been since I bought it new. I'm not sure how many manuals I have had before this car, but every car I have every owned since the the late 80's, has been a manual, I've taken several well over 100k without having to change a clutch.
My clutch started slipping noticeably in 4th gear and above, at around 5k miles. My dealer actually was very good and got Honda to cover it under warranty. Of course, since it was not abused it all looked at it should when they took it apart, because as we know, its only borderline strong enough to hold the stock torque this engine makes. I'm now at about 10k miles (thats 5k on the second clutch) and the second clutch is now slipping in 4th gear and above.
The really sad thing is my daily commute is almost all highway, my clutch just does not get a lot of use, and yet they both started failing after hardly any miles.

I don't know how people are running tunes on this thing without getting slipping.

That's really odd to have a second one fail as well... are you heavy on the throttle during the high torque range? The big question to me from the clutch issues with this car even stock
is the clutch even truly rated to handle the base torque?...

I've had TSP stage 1 on and in map 3 since about 2k miles (now 8k) and no slipping.. I do however take my sweet time getting up to speed and stay pretty light on the throttle until around 3.5k rpm+...

To be honest although I'm holding out on my clutch upgrade, I can only imagine how much of a difference a strong clutch in this car makes.

Even as is from the dealer, if not slipping or only slight slipping, I've had the feeling the clutch in this car is really just made to make the car
"Easy mode" as far as manual cars go, and is not holding all of the power from day 1.

Good design as far as the dying manual transmission is concerned though since nobody drives it anymore except enthusiasts for the most part.

I do think the stock clutch is weak, i mean, its a shame.
Some people already reported slipping with their stock clutch without any tune. At that point you, maybe its the driver, maybe not.

Noob question . . . what did it cost you to upgrade the clutch (parts/labor)? Or did you do it yourself?

I got the clutch kit from MAperformance for 450US shipped . The installation cost 500US.

Avoid boost in 4th and above. Those are overdriven gears. 3rd gear will get you over 80mph. Downshifting when you want to accelerate will reward you with a better application of torque, faster acceleration, and far less wear on the clutch and flywheel.

Some boost in 4th should be fine but anything close to WOT is going to slip even on the stock tune.

I have over 30k on my car, clutch is fine, I hit over 24 psi daily, and average well over 40mpg across every tank of fuel. It is a great car but the clutch is weak. When mine needs replacing, long from now, I will probably go aftermarket.

After about 20k miles with maybe 15k being TSP Stage 1, I am not slipping real hard but I can just tell the clutch does not hold all of the power. Know what I mean? My butt Dyno can feel my car not putting all of the gravy on the potatoes. Once Eman sends my retrofit I will be excited to see the difference. I think I am going to feel some power I have been missing out on cause of the weak clutch. Just another week or so plus some break in period and I will finally know! I plan on doing a write up about it.
