One of my trim pieces replaced last year have started peeling again...yay... I think I'm gonna wait till the fall, get whatever ones replaced that need it, then slap on some Window Visors to at least cover up that problem. I shouldn't have to, but this issue seems inevitable.

So I had the dealer fix the peeling trim while in for my first oil change...

1) They didn't hesitate or make excuses - even though it was raining and hard to see when I stopped in ahead of time so they could be ready...they just said, OK - we'll order the part.
2) BUT when they replaced the trim (drivers side, front and back) they chipped the back window "sash"...so I went back the next day.
3) Replacing the sash, they accidentally marred the wrapped trim they'd put on the day before, AND make a slight scuff on the front sash...so I went back the next day
4) Finally, after three visits, I have new (and new-condition) trim and sashes on the drivers side.

Only issue now is:
A) Those new pieces aren't ceramic coated like the rest of the car - any advice on what to do about that?
A good product to DIY coat them, so they'll hold up comparably to the other side??

and
B) I have to look under to make double-sure they properly connected the skid plate after the oil change!!

Just some advice, from a person who had all their window trim replaced - buy window visors and this will never be an issue again.

I mad mine replaced last summer, could see them bubbling up again mid summer this year. Decided to say “F” it, just got OEM visors. Glad I did because I like the look much better AND I don’t need to worry about this issue ever again.

I ALMOST did, but then I got concerned - about two things - any input welcome:
- if you ever remove them, would it mess up the finish? Adhesive on the paint?
- the way the OEM's mount - can it mess with the window function? Most cars I've owned ended up with window issues - any extra stress on that motor - is going to end up expensive.

The visors themselves glue to the actual window trim, so no paint damage there. The clips are super thin and do not add any stress to the window motors; I imagine they're only there to further support the visors, if the adhesive ever fails I guess lol.

Mine is doing the same thing. Sh!t so it's a known issue. Going to start looking around to trade my hatch in.
