Flame red is the red color specific to the Japanese market while Ralleye red is specific to US, Canada, and Europe. I don't know if they are the same color (just named differently) or not.
I've heard they are the same color - just named differently.

If the codes are the same, the paint is definitely the same. I have come to the conclusion that the real "Flame Red" code R50 was used only for the year 1984. It looks like Honda changed the name for the JDM market to the defunct color name. Phoenix Yellow and Sunshine Yellow were also both the same color, code Y-56. I don't see why Honda would have two colors of red in Swindon. I also don't understand the cultural differences enough to understand why Honda can't just give one name to the same color.
