I happen to own a 1.0 Turbo Civic outside Europe in part of the world where there is zero support for this model. I unfortunately somehow (LSPI) ended up damaging one of my pistons. Ordered Piston Set/Rings/Main & Rod Bearings along with a new Head Gasket.

The problem is, i cannot find torque specs anywhere. I cannot find any repair manual or any other resource to get me out of this situation.

I'll really appreciate any help

Thanks!!

I really have no idea. This engine uses a Bosch ECU. No MAPS are available. However at stock tune, the engine produces around 19-20PSI boost. May be i boosted a bit too much or may be it happened due to LSPI as i was not using SN+ or recommended Honda type 2.0 engine oil (Not available in my country).

The Motor is back together now however i still have a misfire issue at idle after 20-25 minutes of idling. So i really don't know what to do now. Everything is checked and doubled checked. I have come to really hate this motor as every part is 4x more expensive than the 1.5 variant.

I might just end up replacing the damn motor with a K20. These small Turbos are really not ready for the market. Over at the garage, i have seen too many Audis A3s/A5s with exactly the problem.

Well, the 1.5s seems to handle stress pretty well though...

It could have been an overboost. The 1.0 is quite stressed on stock form already. The 1.5 has a bit more headroom.
Just place a K20c1 on it hehe.

Is K20C Direct Fit sir?
Are there any structural changes to be done?

It fits but the wiring would be a nightmare. Even a 1.5T could prove to be a nightmare. The newer the car, the more wiring is involved, the harder it is to do a swap.

Chassis-wise, the FK8 is more rigid that the 1.0 and 1.5T. If a 1.5T can be sourced, its better to go that way BUT a standalone ECU will most likely be needed and God knows which functions will be lost after the swap (from speedometer and rev meter proper function to auto headlights etc)

The 1.0T had some troubles in its first year of production. Too sharp timing gears would damage the timing belt sending debris in the engine's oil and destroying the engine. Usually the turbo goes out first. The mysterious cylinder nr.2 missfire was also an issue which may or may not be related to excessive wear caused by contaminated oil from the timing belt. My 1.0 has now 70.000km, running normal, sees 4000rpm almost daily since I live in a hilly region :)

It is complicated to swap engines in these cars. Ideally I would put a newer 1.0T in the car, at least 2019 onwards, with 126hp, but finding one could be impossible.
