Installed ZL1 Add Ons Deluxe CTR Rock Guards. IMO, looks better than the mudflap Rally Armors. I found a small rock chip on the fender during the install that would not have been there if the rock guards were there. I had to Dr. Colorchip that first. (I know she's filthy).

Do these actually work despite being so tiny...?
Absolutely. I’ve got the “other” cf kind but I can tell you that when I saw a rock chip on the door I immediately put the guards on. Since last year zero chips or dents. And works well by not splashing water on the door keeping the car clean. Anyone running wide tires absolutely needs these.

And thumbs down on that rally crap, looks soooooo bad. Sorry to all those rocking them, looks absolutely hideous.

Looks hideous in your opinion. I rather like the look. I like the look of both. I also do not need to worry about the Rally Armor protecting me at all as they extend a little bit extra to the sides over the ZL1 ones.

Can anyone post the installation instructions? Anyone have a picture of the fronts installed on top of the fender line yet? Thanks!

Thanks. I just wanted to read before purchasing. I understand no new holes need drilled but sounds like removing a factory rivet or similar. Wanted to see what permanent changes are made to accommodate this before purchase.

. Here you go brother. I hope to get some time to install mine today. Packaging and quality on the deluxe is very nice I feel for the price they are expensive for plastic but I've also made several custom flaps in the past and material for those cost me a good amount anyway. I like the rounded edges on the deluxe and all the cuts look professional. I also figure the price is justifiable if it beats saving my paint.

The front's have two factory rivets that are removed during installation and replaced using a different rivet. If you do it properly you shouldn't damage the rivets during installation and the entire thing can be completely reversed. Everything else uses the factory screws.

Thanks guys! Seems to show the fronts going under the liner. I want to at least lay it out on top to see how that works / looks. Thanks so much!

My review on these:

I bought the first set they made when they came out in early June. Didn't want to wait for Deluxe because my car would be chipped by now if I did.

They are GREAT. The quality was good on mine, no problems. They actually work really well and are hardly noticeable on the car. Before I installed them, it was painful to drive the car with all the debris being thrown up. I don't think I would want the "texture" look of the Deluxe version.

The fronts are tough to install because you have to pop out that fender rivet, I used a tiny flat head screw driver to get behind the rivets and pop them out. I had to pry and pull pretty hard. Overall, I highly recommend these as a mandatory mod to protect the car.

Installed my Deluxe set tonight... I've got a bit of an issue with the clips that are supposed to hold the rear guards in place. They don't fit snugly enough to actually hold the rock guards against the fender liner. They slide off immediately after being out on. Guess I need to reach out to ZL1 about it, as the rear guards guards don't feel secure being held in by just the two factory screws up top.

Edit: after messing around with the guards for a few minutes, I think I have the clips "somewhat" snug enough to hold them in place. They still don't feel extremely secure, but it's probably safe enough with the top two screws in place.
