So I've had my car now for about 16 months and I have still yet to find a Hot Wheels Honda Civic type-r what's the secret, why are they so rare. I've looked at Walmarts and targets ? I live in the mid west. I was also in Colorado and checked for different places while I was out there no luck

They were released about 3 or 4 waves ago. Waves are released, and then they release the next wave. The same cars are usually not in the same wave.

There is a color variant (white) coming out soon in the current wave (N case).

Good to Know thanks. Whats funny is Ive been looking since April of 2018 or even earlier but have had no luck. Looks Like I will be buying one from amazon or eBay.
When Looking for cases at walmart look for the N case ? Most the time They have a a huge bin of them to go through. I see on eBay and amazon you can get the white one already but I thought that hasn't been released. I buy most all my food from walmart so I check like 3 times a week.

I too have been looking for months. we have about 7 walmarts and 3 targets in our area plus every grocery store and walgreens also has hotwheels and I can't find anything. Problem around here is there is a handful of "collectors" who buy up everything that is a real life car(all you find in the stores is the made up fantasy cars) and they resell them on ebay. They don't have day jobs and hit the stores everyday so you cant find anything. Plus thy are rude about it, you'll go to a walmart on stock day (which they know when it is) and they take the cases off the stock carts and go down aisle and go through them, take all the good stuff and then let them just sit on the floor. The internet has ruined collecting and xmas cause of people like this who go any just buy up everything so no one can get it and then are forced to go online and buy it at their inflated prices.

Watched a youtube video of a guy who does it, he went around 4 counties buying up all of some collectable monopoly game so no one could get one. He had like 500 of them in his van. Then people who wanted one had no choice but to pay his 100 price and he thought it was funny.

Got both the Hot Wheels and Tomica, the details are clearly better on the Tomica (also costs more). Also have the red one in unopened single pack (white Hot Wheels in pics were from multi car pack). Still looking for a unopened single pack white one....

I said screw it and ordered the Red one off amazon for 5 bucks. Still hoping to find a white in the wild, I swear I've never had this issue when looking for s2000 hot wheels back when I owned a AP2 2005 haha

Found the Red and White ones at my local Market Basket grocery store today at the end of the cereal isle...was hoping for black to match my car but picked them both up anyway. They had a deal going for like 5 Hot Wheels for $4.69.

I ordered a red one from Amazon too. It should arrive Wednesday. If I can find a really tiny CTR model to put inside the red Hotwheel on it’s dashboard, and then put the Hotwheel on my dashboard I can have multiple nested Rallye Red CTRs - think of the possibilities!
