TSP Stage 1 numbers are about as far as you can push these cars on the stock turbo and only using pump gas.
Ethanol will raise that power ceiling much higher.
but you would need a custom tune - that dyno graph shows the same hp with same mods ?

No... One is a stock car using TSP Stage 1... a locked reflash on pump gas. The other is showing Ktuners 23# unlocked basemap with ethanol enable selected (and the flex fuel kit installed) which adds additional timing based how the percentage of ethanol used. It uses less boost than TSP Stage 1, plus there's likely quite a bit more timing left to add. Whether you modify the basemaps yourself (not recommended unless you know what you're doing) or get a Dyno/etune to gain more .. you will have more room to make more power with a flex fuel kit.

However.... if one was to just pick one or the other... and had no plans to go further, I'd recommend TSP Stage 1. No extra expenses for the flex fuel kit and no need to mix fuel. TSP Stage 1 has a lot of history at this point and has worked well for most everyone.

both platforms offer disables. to have them set ready, you have to reenable them in the software, flash then drive. but if you are catless it might not set ready

I know I read Ktuner said they will never have a 'set ready' option. Hondata KPro has that option but I am not familiar with FlashPro

Out of curiosity, for those running a TSP Stage 1 map 2 on the Si, how does it run when simply in normal mode? I've heard plenty of great things about how improved the car runs when in 'Sport' mode with this map, but I'm wondering how similar the 'normal' mode targeting 19psi compares to the factory normal mode. How much do you notice that the tune is still there?

Short answer is yes. Throttle response is better than map 1 and the top end is enhanced as well.

Longer version...TSP Stage 1, Si, in my humble experience...each time I state increased throttle response or torque means better than the previous.

Map 1 normal- way better than stock tune, more torque better throttle response.

Map 1 sport- all the Si sport goodies, better throttle response, same boost as normal.

Map 2 normal- increase throttle response, way more torque good top end.

Map 2 sport- increased throttle response way more torque, top end excellent.

Map 3 normal- increased throttle response over Map 2 normal, same boost. Map 2 sport is more powerful though.

Map 3 sport- increased throttle response, excellent torque, screaming top end wow! It’s the power tune!

Thanks for the detailed response! So the other "Sport" features like stiffened suspension and heavier steering still only activate when you press that button, right? Is it recommended to upgrade anything (like maybe the clutch) before running a TSP Stage 1 Map 2/3?

I'd not replace something unless it's needed. A new clutch is not a foregone conclusion. I'm over a year on TSP stage 1 with the 24.5# map as map 1... so it's enabled by default. Clutch is fine.

I’ve got Boost By Gears limited in 5th and 6th, 4th I have ramped at 20psi until 4K rpm then full boost. No clutch issues for me as well. You just have to be smart with the TSP tune and not build a ton of boost at low rpm in 4,5,6.
