I did a hard pull yesterday against my coworkers Accord Sport 2.0T 10 speed and redlined first and shifted into second - no grind. And this was only about 2 minutes after starting to drive.

Weird. I was worried as hell when I hit redline it was about to shriek at me once I pulled it into second... nope.

Side note: those Accord 2.0T with the 10 speeds are NO joke

Not yet. I'll have to go back and read the thread on that unles you want to teach me :D'

The grind is killing me.
Adjust your clutch pedal ASAP and get fresh fluid in there. Try OEM Honda MTF II or AC Delco / GM Synchromesh Friction Modified.

Glad to report that after making the CMC adjustment about a month ago, I still haven't had a 1-2 grind yet. I've tried various conditions, especially accelerating from standstill while making a turn - a condition where I always had 1-2 grinds in the past. I wouldn't call the shift butter smooth, still a little notchy shifting from 1-2.

Here's my adjustment: backed out the pedal hard stop by about 2 threads; also left about 1/2 a turn of slack on the MC piston rod.

I did the CMC pedal adjustment yesterday and I was initially disappointed because I got a 2nd gear grind on my test run afterwards and really couldn’t tell much of a difference in shifting (yes, clutch was to the floor), although the pedal feel is improved. Went out for a long drive later in the day, no change noticed. Then this morning I noticed that shifting is noticeably smoother! Not sure what happened (maybe the late day drive helped things settle???) but hoping this keeps up!
I also did this but still experienced a grind the day after on my way to work.

Also i just got my 2019 about 1.5 months ago, 1200~ miles and i've had in total now of seven 2nd gear grinds. I'm taking it to the dealer and letting them know.
Not sure if the dealer will actually do anything about it though.

Due to the heat the clutch system takes, on top of adjusting the CMC you should always have fresh clutch fluid. By fresh I mean a full flush at least once a year if you don't track, if you do track then way more frequently.

I watched the S2000 free play adjustment video posted earlier in the thread, and the Type R adjustment method outlined in the instructional image below looks WAY more complicated.

Also, am I understand the instructional image correctly in that I can also move the resting position of the clutch pedal forward towards the floor? This would be way more comfortable for me - I find that in this car, even when I'm sitting pretty far back, I have to do a "high knee" to get my foot on the clutch pedal (and I'm pretty short).

You will reduce the amount of fluid being pushed through the master by moving the pedal closer to the floor. I don’t recommend doing this. All we’re doing is removing pedal free play so that the clutch is disengaged as quickly as possible. In some cases there isn’t enough overall pedal stroke from factory which creates clutch drag.

Got it. So which of the two methods do we use for our car - the Type R written instructions (which are far more extensive), or the S2000 video?

Follow the S2K video. I’ll try and make one for the FK8 shortly

Will do - thanks! Maybe it's because I have a '19, but I don't really seem to have much free play and my biting point is pretty close to the top. I do definitely have a delayed engagement into 2nd though - I have to hold it against the gate for a half second sometimes until it slots in. It's frustrating.

Does the modified CMC accomplish the same thing as this adjustment, or do they compliment one another?

They would compliment one another because the damper is deleted and the feed hole bore is increased. This just means fluid moves through the CMC faster than stock.

I tried the clutch adjustment like in the video but it barely got 1 turn and hit resistance.
