Yes have it on PS4VR it is addictingHas anyone played Beat Saber on VR? I’ve been spending hours playing it with my boyfriend. It’s a little addictive.
Sadly ps4 is limitedIt's amazing. Have you got into modding it yet? The custom songs and sabers are a ton of fun to play with.
What headset are you using? I have a 1st gen HTC Vive and I still love it. The temptation to upgrade is strong, but I would want a new graphics card before I do that.
When I got the psvr I had the 500 gig ps4 now I have the ps4 pro and the vr works much much better on itI always heard people on VR pages bash on how terrible PSVR was, so I never really paid much attention to it. Well, my friend bought one and I tried out Skyrim on it (since this is what I play the most in VR).
The PSVR is actually really good. It's not the HTC Vive, but it's not a bad experience. The clarity is decent but the images seem flat in comparison to the Vive. Vive wins hands down on tracking, but that's to be expected considering the method of tracking between the two. The PSVR is still the absolute cheapest way to enjoy VR tho, since PCs that can run VR smoothly are easily 2-3 times the cost of a PS4.
When I got into the PSVR I started to look into pcvr and the cheapest gaming laptop With a VR set up was over a grand so i upgraded to a PS4 pro for 400 bucks now the PSVR works better you just have to set up the camera in a high spot and low lightingThe PSVR is a general consumer product meant to be accessible to many, therefore compared to PC VR headsets it has many setbacks. That being said, VR capable PCs are extremely expensive compared to a PS4 and PSVR set up, so not many people have them. Regular consumers aren't as vocal as PC enthusiasts which is why you hear so many people rag on PSVR.
That was true about 3 years ago, but not so much anymore. Don't listen to the people that say you have to have a 1080ti and a $500 cpu to run VR. It's not true. I ran VR pretty smooth on an old FX-8350 and a 980ti.The PSVR is a general consumer product meant to be accessible to many, therefore compared to PC VR headsets it has many setbacks. I know. I've built a pc before lol. But to the general public its perceived as too expensive without too much thoughtThat was true about 3 years ago, but not so much anymore. You can put together a flawless VR system for $700-800 now. Yes that's more than a console, but PCs have always been far more expensive than consoles. I'm running my VR on a 980ti which you can get used for $150-200 now with no dropped frames and 10% reprojection. With how amazing the new 3rd gen Ryzen CPUs are, building a gaming PC that can do everything ultra settings at 1080p is cheaper than ever. I'm actually building a new PC this weekend and switching to Team Red (AMD).
