I'm getting the shaking at highway speed as well. I didn't debug the issue but guess that could fix my problem as well. Could you please send me the tape filler? My order # is 1051.Sorry for the not ideal solution. We can send you a tape filler that you can place between the back of the mirror and the white cross piece to permanently address this issue. Let me know?
In Japan, the OEM cross piece comes with the tape filler to ensure tight grip between the cross piece and the back of the Mirror. Since we make our mirrors based on JDM standard, we assumed that the USDM cross piece has the filler. Now we know the difference, and we'll include this improvement on new mirrors.
Sorry for the inconvenience. We're ordering the tape filler from Japan and will be available in a few weeks. Please let me know whether you'd like me to mail them to you? thanks.
You got it! Expected delivery is mid-August, thanks.I'm getting the shaking at highway speed as well. I didn't debug the issue but guess that could fix my problem as well. Could you please send me the tape filler? My order # is 1051.
I now "feel" that my Mirrors are not rigidly held, and can vibrate a little, which I assume will create a shaky image when the car is driven under certain circumstances,You got it! Expected delivery is mid-August, thanks.

Here is a picture. The space filler is circled in red (before it is peeled). Essentially, it is a specialized foam tape. If you'd like, you can try using regular, 1mm foam tape.I now "feel" that my Mirrors are not rigidly held, and can vibrate a little, which I assume will create a shaky image when the car is driven under certain circumstances,
Can you give details of what this "tape filler" is, pictures maybe, and material type, and how it is fitted.
It can't be that special a product, so maybe I have something already I can fit to mine to stop the vibration, rather than asking you to send me such an insignificant item by US mail .

Thanks for the question! They key is just to keep them clean. And you don't need to apply extra coating, like RAINX, on our mirrors. Thanks .. having seen what the solution is, I am sure I can find suitable materials, and do that myself.
One more question, that so far I have not seen asked or talked about.
These mirrors have a custom surface finish. So what is the recommended way to clean them, that will not damage the or compromise this surface.
My original OEM mirrors, I used RAINX after normal car washing, to clean off any water spots and provide what I hoped was a water repellent coating.
What do you recommend to ensure any special surface on your mirrors is not damaged, and it maintains it water repellent properties.
Thanks, so any typical Glass Cleaner (that typically contains Ammonia) is NOT to be used). Thanks for the question! They key is just to keep them clean. And you don't need to apply extra coating, like RAINX, on our mirrors.
But when you clean them, make sure you don't scratch the mirror surface. Mirrors are prone to scratches, so you definitely want to clean them without creating scratches that comprise the water repellent property.
This is what you do:
1. First, use water to rinse off the mirrors, making sure there is no dirt/particles that can scratch the surface.
2. Apply typical carwash detergent with a sponge (or something similar that's soft)
3. Rinse off the detergent.
4. Wipe and you're done.
Just PM'd, it's on the way!Thanks!

Clipping the glass to the white cross piece to put it back together takes much more force than clipping the socket of the white cross piece back into the housing. Not sure if that amount of pressure is likely to damage the Suma glass, but I cracked my OEM glass underlying the "add on" (taped on) Vision ICB blue mirrors installing this way.Thank you for this tutorial thread!, Just a quick comment. When you pry out the OEM mirror, ideally you only want to pry out the mirror and leave the white contraction part (cross piece) intact.
This should make the process easier. In this video, we used a flat screw driver to pry the OEM Mirror off against the white cross piece.
