Choosing the best intake for your 10th Gen Civic Type R can be tough. Hondata tested 6 intakes (available to us at the time) and developed a scientific repeatable test procedure to evaluate the differences. This test was made several months ago. Since then new intakes have come on the market. The test procedure will tell you what to look out for.

Shoot. I hope I didn't shell out Eventuri money for sound, too!

i think most people already knew that the factory intake is the best and that aftermarket intake is just for sound.
I didn't even go for sound!
Went with GruppeM. At least based on the design I have a little hope for a power increase.
But mainly it's for all the carbon fiber goodness.

I think a varis hood would help a lot for those intakes in the test... so much hot air trapped under that hood.

haha yeah that's true. That intake will probably work better than stock possibly cause its fully enclosed.
The ricer in me wouldn't be satisfied with the lack of noise though :(

Is bov make the car run rich??
No I think it's the hks intake that does. The bov is weird. Some have issues and a lot don't but mostly what I read is it's when you're revving just to rev at a stand still and it has issues when the revs drop down.

It might, but even the stock hood creates a vacuum over 10-15 mph (via the rear inlet).

Great test @Hondata .
