I just scuffed my Si rim on a curb today :( but the tire looks perfectly fine, so I'll probably wait until my next oil change to have it repaired/replaced. Just curious for anyone who may have dealt with this situation before, do dealers/repair shops offer to buy the scuffed rim after it is replaced? Or should I expect to pay the full cost of a new rim + labor and taking the old rim back home?
I do like the idea of having a full-size spare handy, though, if I can procure an extra tire for it.

I got used to my scuff and don’t notice it as much and haven’t even had my car for long enough to take it in for its first oil change but when I do, I’ll let you know!

I did the same thing a week ago. I can be a little OCD when it comes to my car. So I didn’t waste any time, I just ordered a replacement rim. I got the 9th gen Si rims on mine. So a new one was just $160. As a matter of fact it should be on my doorstep any minute now. So it depends how picky you are. I knew if I got it repaired I would never be 100% happy. So I had to do what I had to do:dunno: . I just looked online and you can buy a new rim for the same cost they are trying to charge you. Or even a refurbished rim which is just as good as a new one

I know this isn’t the smoked sport rim but just an example. This is the Si rim. But you should be able to find yours for the same price
autorimshop has the smoked wheel too. Just ordered one OEM for about $250. They sent me the non-smoked wheel. BS

On another note, I just got my windows tinted and love it! Took away from the scuffed rim, and the guy who did it knows a guy to fix my rim for cheap, yay! ❤
