Pad replacement- help!!

Hey team. I just replaced my front brake pads, 16 Civic ext. Easy peasy. I made a mistake after I got the wheel off - I accidentally took off the wrong bolt and a couple ounces of brake fluid spilled out before I realized and put it back on. This was front driver only where I made this error. Rest of job went easy. Only replaced front pads.

Now when I test drive, the pedal is super mushy and goes right to the floor. I also have a bunch of error measages about ACC and other driver assist features. Do I just need to bleed brake lines on all four wheels, or did I do something worse here?

Edit 2:. Now the car won't start! Some icons on the dashboard blink on and off. When we lock from the remote, it doesn't beep and makes the dashboard flash. Help!

You need to bleed the system and if you caused too much to come out and it has the ABS manifold messed up at all (As in emptied/now has air in it), then you will need to either get a friend over and start playing the fun game of "bleed the brakes with the car on 4 jack stands and all the wheels off" or you will have to get it to the shop for them to deal with it.

Brake bleeding can be done at home but you should be using Honda fluid in a car that is likely still under warranty. I have done it myself but it is a pain in the cunninglinguals if you don't get the car up on 4 stands with the wheels off. You may have only let fluid out of one corner but you could have introduced air somewhere else in the system and may have to bleed more than you know.

Easy, just bleed your brake system:
L/H Front
R/H Front
L/H Rear
R/H Rear last
Just an FYI...
Unless there’s something unique about the CivicX platform I’m not aware of, you have your order reversed.
You typically always bleed from the longest run to the shortest.

Unless there’s something unique about the CivicX platform I’m not aware of, you have your order reversed.
You typically always bleed from the longest run to the shortest.
There's something unique.

The factory procedure, including bleed order, has been posted on this forum, probably multiple times. I can even see one of the threads at the bottom of this page ...

Thanks for the info... at 14,000ish miles in, I haven’t needed to check that procedure out yet.
