Hey
If someone wider than me will sit, will the seats buckets stretch?))

And it goes back to the original form)))?
Lol yes it has the few times she's been in it. It holds shape decently. Granted, she's only been in my car about 4-5 times and car has only 800 miles. Not sure I can vouch for long term

Bolsters have a metal bar. They'll wear out eventually, but they're not really going to get wider.

IM 6' 1'' 253 lbs. IM not wide, but big and the seats are a snug not tight fit. I have had the car longer than most anyone here as I got mine june 15 2017. So couple months over 2 years. My seats are fine. Not stretched. I am also careful getting in and out not to slide across the bolster and wear out the fabric. gotta sorta hop into the seats :) but like I said im not a wide person even though im 253 my waist is only 32 im just a stout person. someone with say a 38 or bigger waist im not sure may stretch a bit. definitely cant have crap in your pockets in these seats.

Here is what I did to help my wife fit between the bolsters better. This seat cushion raises you up to be more even with the bolsters.

Thanks. I’ll try the cushion method as I always rub against the bolster during ingress and exit. That and a step ladder (I’m short) should solve the problem.

Back on topic. The bolsters are quite firm and do return to shape after stretching.

“To help my wife fit”... loooooool, that’s one way to put it. You did it to save your seats from stretching.

I can't speak to CTR seats, but my 2003 WRX has 2003 JDM STI seats. They are alcantara and they're now 16 years old. They still look fantastic and the shape really hasn't changed at all. Recaro made these seats I believe.

I just pulled them out cause I'm gonna be selling my WRX, but I'd say they held up pretty good for 16 years old. Hopefully the CTR has the same quality.

My problem is not that my wife doesn't fit, but that she inevitably plops down into the seat - but entirely misses the seat and lands squarely on the bolster.

This causes an involuntary wince/audible cringe, but to no effect. My wife just says "what? it's really low."

Yes, they’re low. I’m looking into adding a seat cushion. No tracking for me.
