Some good info here. I was pretty set on the Invidia r400 but my friend owns one and said it drones like a mother. Other option is the Greddy HG. Really like the 3 tip design. Can anyone tell me how bad drone is between the Greddy and Invidia? Is it as bad as the Invidia?
depends on how sensitive you are to drone. I used to run it and there is definitely drone. It's pretty comparable to the invidia.

I ended up selling the greddy, taking a big loss on it and bought a Sequence Manufacturing Exhaust.

Haven't had any experience with the Invidia, but I previously had the Greddy HG (3-tip) and the drone was TERRIBLE. I took it off in less than two months of owning it. It's a shame because IMO it's the best looking exhaust out there and it sounded decent, but the drone just killed it for me. I'm currently running the Remus w/ sound controller and there's very little drone.
What did you end up getting instead? I'm thinking HKS but I am not a fan of the 2 tip. I also thinks it's way too quiet.

I just love the low tone versus the higher pitched ones. Was also wanting a 3 tip exhaust since it fills in more. I used to have a Greddy on my RSX back in the day.

that's exactly why i got the greddy first. I wanted a 3 tip and greddy has made good exhausts in the past which i have used back on my S13, S14, and S2000.
I was also younger back then so maybe the drone didn't bother me as much ... who knows lol.

Remus catback with the sound controller, very different sound characteristic (more raspy, high pitched) vs the Greddy. I personally love it since it sounds aggressive. If HKS came with a three tip, then it would've been the replacement hands down, but I was adamant about keeping the three tip. Otherwise, the HKS is a great choice.

Thought about Remus. Considered it. But the Remus with the sound controller is a little over $3000 CDN before taxes. HKS 3 tip would be the dream!

Apexi N1-X Evolution Extreme Muffler with Apexi GT front pipe.
Very subtle increase in volume with no drone. Nice deeper tone over stock and looks spectacular.

I sat in on a ride with a Q300 recently, and was pleasantly surprised on the lack of drone for an Invidia exhaust. I still don't think I'd get it after being burned by my previous R400. Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice...

I sold the R400...was tired from my ears bleeding from the drone after every time I drove the R. I even put a custom 2nd resonator in and it was still bad. And no, it wasn't a cheap resonator either.

That sucks. I just ordered the R400 for my Si. Hopefully the outcome isn't the same.

Owners of the Q300 swear of it being drone free. I'm not convinced as I have yet to sit in one with it's hard to really tell in videos.
