Have ARK DT-S exhaust..
Looks good, tri burn tips.. sounds deep and throaty... however, drone at 2k & 4k

No drone at 3k, but rev match drone cna be annoying.

It is ashame as ARK claimed that there is little to no drone which is not true..
I have aFe catted dp and aFe front pipe.

The exhaust note is amazingly good though. It is like a tiger or cougar deep roaring

got any sound clips of the exhaust actually driving though?

Thermal RD and I love it.
Zero drone. Deep low growl. Doesn’t really sound like a typical bolt on aftermarket exhaust .... sounds like how the FK8 should have been from the factory. What I mean is, it has a sort of mature sound to it. Not tinny or raspy. My 5 year has no issues with it while riding in the back. Superb quality and figment. Made in USA. Affordable price. Looks great. I’m happy I went with it. Long 4 hour drives and no issues with headaches or booming etc. Just goodness

Apexi N1-X Evolution Extreme Muffler with Apexi GT front pipe.
Very subtle increase in volume with no drone. Nice deeper tone over stock and looks spectacular.

Do you still have the original downpipe or have you gone cateless? Curious how this sounds without the cat.

Installed the invidia q300 today. Coming from a 2015 mustang with headers as my daily i wanted something deep but with no drone and not too loud. This exhaust seems to fit all those categories well. We will see if anything changes as it breaks in. Took a quick video with my iphone but it doesn't really do it justice.

What's up all. I've been following this thread for awhile.. I appreciate all the info and experiences everyone has posted. Personally I think I've come to a decision in regards to the only issue I've ever really had which is our CTR is just to quiet with stock exhaust. I count it a huge blessing we live in a country with so many choices. And this is just my opinion. There are some beautiful mufflers out there. I personally was leaning towards the Greddy HG or Remus because of adjustability. With that being said. The gains over stock seem to all be very minimal and doesn't justify the cost to me. And I've been blessed over the last 2 years with my own CTR build. All my extra money has been going to my baby. I've installed a PRL intercooler, catted dp and fp combo, Hondata flashpro, PTP turbo blanket, and hasport rear motor mount. I've waited to do the exhaust because I heard after a few years we should have alot more to choose from. Plus it's still one of the most expensive upgrades compared to the parts I went with. Long story short I'm probably gonna go with QTP cutouts . I just want to be able to fully control and adjust like some 3 plus thousand dollar exhausts *armytrix * I'm just sharing what I'm gonna be doing to my exhaust in the next 2 months. Have to wait cause spent money on the new PRL intake.. lol I'll post once I get it done. Just hope to help others like me that have been watching every YouTube exhaust clip trying to decide which exhaust to go with. Haha and all we want is more noise!

That one won't fit unless you put it on the DP. I've tested this cause i was thinking the same thing. Its too big to fit in the exhaust channel because the electric motor. I tried the entire exhaust, besides the DP. One guy did do it, but after he got it finished he went AWOL and hasn't said anything else :dunno:

I'm gonna go with the oval lower profile one.. was looking at the section of pipe right before the exhaust goes into the mufflers.. if dont work then use muffler clamps to reattach and return the cut outs. Hehe I'll for sure keep you posted once I do it to see if I was able to. @Akuto really appreciate the heads up on this. Save me the trouble of trying buying and returning this one. I'm still about 2 or 3 months from buying and trying the cut out project. Spent alot on my baby this year already haha

Hopefully the oval will work for you, also no problem with the heads up, I'd hate for tyou to get all excited, be under a car for 3-4 hours and then have to send it back, its a shitty feeling lol

I can't wait to do mine lol
Make sure you have a flexible head ratchet wrench or a universal socket joint. The hardest part that took me the longest was believe it or not the damn heat shield over the turbo and down pipe. Theres 2 easily accessible bolts. And the third one is in such a tight spot right behind the radiator. That's where You will need the flex head wrench for the lower front bolt. No clearance what's so ever. Helps to have a friend and also watch rv6 YouTube downpipe install . Good luck ! You won't regret install a DP!

Some good info here. I was pretty set on the Invidia r400 but my friend owns one and said it drones like a mother. Other option is the Greddy HG. Really like the 3 tip design. Can anyone tell me how bad drone is between the Greddy and Invidia? Is it as bad as the Invidia?

Haven't had any experience with the Invidia, but I previously had the Greddy HG (3-tip) and the drone was TERRIBLE. I took it off in less than two months of owning it. It's a shame because IMO it's the best looking exhaust out there and it sounded decent, but the drone just killed it for me. I'm currently running the Remus w/ sound controller and there's very little drone.
