27Won recently released this nice looking leather shift knob. Looks pretty good and comfy in the hand. Also, it being leather, no burning or freezing your hand :D Might grab me one for this southern Texas heat. What do you guys think?

I thought people over exaggerated the stock knob getting hot. Now that I own one.. man that thing can leave first degree burns lol.

That black one with red stitching looks really good in the car!
Same here, then the next day, I left it outside at work and grabbed the knob :flame:I had been branded with a R logo in my palm. Even with a window cover, it still can burn you.

Yeah that red stitch one looks perfect for the type r

I don't usually worry about my knob being too hot as i have 5% tints so it's not as hot xD

Nice looks good and the red stitching matches the interior well.

Reminds me of the 99-00 SI Knobs, or the 97 ITR...

also reminds me of a baseball.

The Razo leather ball shift knob looks like a baseball :p I got one of them a while back (for like 40-50 bucks I believe) but you have to kind of hack the knob itself (glue) to get it to work with the Civic.

This shift knob looks very good though. Debated getting it when it dropped when I first heard about it. Might still do it too down the line.

I really like it! It's the same style as the OEM leather shift knob on my old 5th Gen Prelude.

Back in the day when I had my EJ1, everyone wanted to swap their shift knobs with Type R/skunk 2 metal knobs. Now that we have Type Rs with the metal knobs, we’re switching them out and in some cases going back to leather ones! :D

But on a more serious note, these knobs are pretty sweet

If anyone doesn’t want that OEM knob anymore..... i’ll take it

I have a brand new one from my SI that only got used for a few days before I traded it in for my R. I'll happily sell it to you if you're interested.

You are correct.. I live in Florida and I have FIXED my hand melting any time I touch the shifter.

I tinted the window with 80% Suntek Ceramic film (basically transparent) and I use a Covercraft sunscreen. IT IS AMAZING NOW No more burning hot shift knob. It is only warm now.

I know the Skunk2 knobs are Ti coated with an SS core and I think older Type R knobs were also Ti. If I'm not mistaken, Ti doesn't get as hot as Al and even further in the Skunk2 knob, the SS core might act as a heat sink drawing heat away from the Ti coating.

I just have a little mitten to slip over it when cold or hot. Works perfectly and keeps my hand happy when I shift, 'cause I shift a LOT!
