I'm liking the r400 alot in the videos I've been seeing. I think it checks most boxes including price

I got the Thermal and love it
Sounds low and mean. No drone. Doesn’t sound loud inside at all. Has a great tone outside the car.
Made in USA, fitment is perfect.

Same here, only thing is what mostly splits my decision is the r400 has more drone than thermal. Even with catless dp, thermal has less drone apparently.
Other thing is r400 supposedly gained 23 whp on dyno from several points, which is really good in my eyes, but the drone still evens out my "idk"

Hows the drone? and any dynos with it?
Just added more to my comment.
Zero drone, zero headaches
Just a nice sound. Growls, low and mean. Not overly loud. Sounds the way the Type R should have from the factory IMO.
I been in a FK8 with the R400 and it drones a bit. It’s louder... but sounds different. I personally like the Thermal... just sounds more matured IMO
Check out my old post

Videos don’t really show anything. Sounds great in person.
I think you will like it if you’re looking a exhaust that sounds livable.

Thanks I'll check it out, for the drone of the r400, would you say it could give you a headache around highway speeds? (65-75mph, 2500-3000rpm)

Well, I found the R400 to have considerable more drone than the Thermal. I forget the RPM but it was right around 50-60mph

You won’t be disappointed

For the full effect.... get someone to drive your car while you are outside watching and listening

I have the R400 and no question there is drone. I absolutely hate the sound of the Thermal. Guess that's why there are so many choices. I like the drone, as I think you should hear some mechanics of the car inside the cabin-otherwise, I would drive a BMW :). It's certainly not loud enough to cause a headache and as someone said, it's only at one specific RPM range in my case. Can't speak for the Thermal but the fit/finish on the R400 is superb-love those huge burnt tips. I've had exhaust drone of varying levels all the way back to my first car, a 1984 Camaro Z28. Hey, don't laugh, Car and Driver voted it the best handling car built in the US in 1984.....ok, well, there was not much competition for that prize in 1984.....but still.......!

The CTR drove me crazy with how quiet it was with the OEM exhaust....different strokes..........................

I've had drone in all my cars too especially my 01 corvette lol you had to yell at idle to have a conversation with someone in an or outside of the car, reason why I'm being picky about drone is because 90% of my driving is held at the most droned rpm and mpg range. If r400 drones as such a way people have explained, even the ones who can tolerate it like you and me, I'd just prefer to try something that doesn't have drone for the first time lol

Does anyone know if these are the only 3 systems (Q300 included) that comes with it's own front pipe?
