Was using the ktuner stage 2 for a while and had a blast.
Now I'm running the 21 starter map with all the most aggressive settings/early spool enabled, aggressive ramp rate II.
The car feels peppy but I can't tell which I prefer yet.
I see a lot of people saying a custom tune is the way to go, but with the CVT is this even worth doing?

Sadly I'm not sure they support my ecu yet. Is the tune really worth the extra money?

Oh yeah i forgot its only a few ecu’s supported , from what ive read in the forums about it im going to for sure buy it since there really isnt that many CVT custom tunes out there so for $80 cant beat that

No custom tune. The CAN maps are the perfect
Solution.

just my two cents, I have a cvt sport with FBO/ with the exception of an intercooler. I have the tsp tune and man this car is a blast to drive the power is more up top from 4k all the way to 6k where as the starter maps feel like it gets it from 3k to about 5k and flattens out , if you have bolt ons I would definitely recommend eventually getting the tsp tune as I feel it makes great use of bolt ons.

It's a great tune but whether it's worth $80 depends on your driving style. If you mostly just commute around town and rarely go WOT or do high speed passing, the KTuner starter tunes are fine.

Me personally, I love the way the TSP tune feels above 4,000 RPM. Below that, the power is extremely smooth but feels less "jumpy" than an aggressively set up Ktuner 21 Starter. At 4,000 though you kind of wonder if you have vtec or something because it flies.

Absolutely. The KTuner tune for the 2.0 adds a nice bump in power and driveability.

Keep in mind though since you have a '19 your ECU may not be supported yet. Contact KTuner.

I use map 3 for daily driving lol. Using "cruise main" dials back the throttle response to something a bit more pedestrian. If you drive it how a cvt likes to respond you should have no issue.... i.e. don't floor it - wheelspin galore from a stop (if you have stock wheels/tires) especially if you drop it into L or S. The "get-up-and-go" factor is crazy, oh and you can totally own almost any "more expensive" enthusiast car on the highway too (if they aren't tuned - if they don't make more HP than you). Over 100+ (when in mexico) is when the platform shows it's weaknesses, but this is my 5th car and this is the MOST FUN i've had (I also have an EX hatch)

also averaging about 27-28mpg with spirited city commute driving lol

Civic > BMW 3 Series Convertible
Civic > Acura RL SH-AWD
Civic > Honda Accord 2.0T (also this was just ktuner basemap lol)
