What happened to the JDM Honda tuners ?

Economy was good back then. Especially in Japan.


But trust me. It's a lot better than the Corvette scene.
There's hardly anything aftermarket to add to the corvette that's high quality and beautifully crafted like parts for the CTR like the titanium exhaust, GruppeM intake, etc.

Add Feel's twincam to the list of JDM tuner companies that went bye-bye. I am even more shocked a company like Skunk2 did nothing for this car. At least Mugen sells things like 800 dollar side mirror covers....jokers.

I was hoping to do a Mugen or Spoon build to keep with Honda tradition, but their parts are either sub-par for the money, or they don't/haven't make it. I think HKS currently makes the most comprehensive list of performance parts for the FK8 out of all the JDM shops out right now.

preach on brother! When i finally get my dream car, disappointed at the aftermarket jdm support. FK2 been around, so at least they should've gotten engine stuff, but nope, nada. Even the bigger named JDM companies are taking their sweet ass time. Saves me money i guess.

Lots of competition now especially in the US and UK having domestic companies making their own products. And if I remember correctly, those "JDM" companies used to be heavily involved in the racing circuits with racing their own cars. I'm not sure that's the same nowadays.
