The shape is entirely different. It will require a bumper.

It’s been confirmed that bumpers have different part numbers.

The rear vents are a lot deeper, so the bumper cover should have deeper receess as well.

I'm no hater or anything like that, but I agree that it makes it busier. The back of the R is already very, very busy. I think a cover with no vents or anything would look best, but I'm just happy they brought the R here and I have one.

This has to be the Si in the photos since their is no area package on the front... just little baby lip the Si gets.

Otherwise the aero is going to be entirely different on the 2020 Type R

I was at a dealer couple days ago. They had 2020 hatches on lot. Here is pic. Some questioned if Si. Well Hatch has same so guess this whats coming for R as well.

So they have a new grill, identical to the 2019, for the regular hatchback bumper?

The 2020 Si, however, will have the old grill, so that they could mount the Si badge?

What do you mean the shape of vents are entirely different? They appear to be almost exact

Its not i did some research and bumpers is the same part number, the post you see is a sport hatch vent put on a ctr thats why it doesn’t match. Ctr vent has a sharper line. If you order 2020 ctr vents it should fit prefect. If you call honda they can confirm that the bumper it self is the same.
