Don't use stock lug nuts (ball) on aftermarket wheels (conical). I'd change them out as soon as possible and don't drive the car while it's on stock nuts....
TL;DR: Got the wheels mounted today using stock lug nuts, black spline lugs coming tomorrow after a rollercoaster of back and forth with the wheel purchase. Kind of like the chrome lug nuts though as they accent well with the center caps.
Wheels are Enkei Raijin 18x8 +42 ...
New ones should be here in the morning.Don't use stock lug nuts (ball) on aftermarket wheels (conical). I'd change them out as soon as possible and don't drive the car while it's on stock nuts.
The shop actually put it on for you to drive with different types of lug nut, that is scaryNew ones should be here in the morning.
Yeah, the shop put them on. Torqued them to spec twice, drove around the block with it, checked the torque again and told me to come back when the actual lug nuts come ensuring it was safe to drive the vehicle (I asked twice first just asking if it was safe and second jokingly asking them if my wheel will just fly off). I assumed they checked to make sure they would fit, but I guess they didn't.The shop actually put it on for you to drive with different types of lug nut, that is scary
I for sure I don't want to go there againYeah, the shop put them on.
