I failed to mention my Civic is scheduled a week from today to have service look at rain sensing wipers. Also, a common problem with this model. My wipers go crazy like there's a monsoon when it's only a sprinkle and swipe ever so slowly when it's a steady rain. So disappointing... so very disappointing.
I'm very disappointed too. Been driving Honda/Acura since back in the early 80's (first car was an '83 Accord Hatchback) and haven't run into any significant issues, other than an issue with my '04 TL, which was eventually resolved. I certainly hope my situation doesn't become a potential lemon law situation, but I'm prepping for it just in case.

Remember, guys and gals, they rushed this car to Market. I've had some niggling problems but this car is really something despite all the little nits. Mileage, performance, electronic goodies handling blah blah blah. Just treat it like a girlfriend with a few defects. Going to marry her anyway.

Did you click on the climate button and put the a/c on full blast? And 2nd where u talking to Siri or any phone system at any time? The car has something that it silence the a/c while your talking so the phone can hear you better.

I've seen this with some industrial A/C and cooled hydraulic systems. #1 is plugged filter but yours is new. The cabin air temp is possibly not high enough to prevent freezing of the evaporator and or outside air temp for condenser coils and lastly, maybe the refrigerant is low.

I'd put money on low refrigerant.

A/C was on full blast with no result. Also, I don't use Siri, so that wouldn't have been the culprit.

UPDATE - dropped off the vehicle at the dealership again last night. Had a lengthy conversation with the Service Manager and luckily, it was blowing hot when I pulled into the service bay, so he could feel it first hand. He thinks that the A/C line that he replaced was updated (he doesn't have confirmation on this, just made that assumption because the part is on back order). He said once the updated part comes in, he will get it installed and will personally drive the car in rush hour traffic to determine if that resolves the issue. I probably won't have my vehicle back until next week at the earliest. Will continue to post updates as I have them.

A/C line, as in hose? They're either barking up the wrong tree or feeding you 'easy to understand' stories. These sound like bad sensors or bad electronic controls. Hard to troubleshoot, though, so I cut them some slack.

The service manager showed me the line. It was one of the hard lines coming out of the compressor they replaced. It made me scratch my head too, because when it's working it blows nice and cold. Agreed, sounds like something outside the A/C loop, especially since there's another user on this forum who had the full A/C loop replaced in his vehicle and is still having an issue. I'm being as patient and working with the service manager as much as I can to provide him with input, but I didn't purchase the car to become part of the 10th generation Civic beta test program.

There are currently two Honda reps at the dealership reviewing and investigating the issue with the service manager. More updates to follow....

If you get to talk to them, it might be worth a 'suggestion'. Sometimes they don't know as much as we think they do, and it's easy for a specialist to get 'tunnel vision' for a particular problem. A word from outside can make them consider other options.

I'm hoping I can talk to them, but sounds like they are only there for the afternoon, so that might not happen unfortunately. I've been feeding information to the service manager since I started researching this last week since he's is just as perplexed as I am. I've mentioned more than once that it's possible that it's outside of the A/C loop just to get him to think outside the box. Will keep updating as I get more info...

UPDATE - now they are replacing the compressor, but service manager can't confirm if that is the root cause. Won't have the vehicle back until next week.

Well, here's hoping. Should be relatively easy to diagnose... Is the compressor getting the signal to engage the clutch or not? I don't think it's electric yet.

That's a darn good question...I'll call my service manager and ask him that one. Thanks for the recommendation.

Yeah, I don't buy it either. They kept my car again so they can "run more tests with the Honda Tech Line" today. I'm waiting to hear what the results are. So, you're able to switch your Eco mode on and off while the car is running and you can hear the system switch on/off?
My car runs normal, I can switch between econ and off with no problems.. Different feel in econ mode, normal power with econ mode off... That guy at your dealership..... Idk about him...... He is WRONG.
