Did I do any damage to my tranny?

I have a 2017 Honda civic hatchback sport CVT. I was driving onto coming traffic at 30km/h or 19mph when my girlfriend nudged the gearshift to neutral. I was on the accelerator so it revved up to 4000rpm for 2 seconds. I had to shift into drive from neutral right away because of oncoming traffic so I'm not sure what rpm I had at the time. I would never neutral drop on purpose but would doing it moving by accident like I did cause any damage to the tranny? What should I look for? I really love this car even it being CVT pls help.

Does this car have a safety feature to prevent neutral dropping? I'm more worried about how I went from neutral to drive while moving and with high ish rpms

Afaik, all automatics let you shift into neutral while moving so I don't see why there'd be a safety feature to stop it.

Even if you were doing this intentionally, I don't see how it would harm the CVT. The car knows what speed you're moving at, and will drop you into an appropriate gear ratio when you shift back into Drive.

Modern automatic gearboxes don't really have a "kill the car" option, you'd have to try really hard to break it. Don't worry.

~4000 RPM isn't going to kill anything; still within safe operating range.
If you were in the 6000+ RPM range, that would be something different.

I actually did something similar last last week.
Getting ready to pull off the highway, and onto the oncoming exit ramp, going about 90 ~ 95 km/hr (~60 MPH), thought I was in S-Mode, so pushed the level up.
The car was actually in normal Drive, so it got put into Neutral for a quick second while at around 1/4 throttle.

IMO best thing to do, ease / release your foot from the throttle, to let the RPM drop back down, before shifting back from Neutral into Drive.
