What would you guys recommend for tires?
In need of a 265/35-18

I do a lot of spirited driving around where I live and drive through some good canyons. Always looking for better handling but don’t wanna sacrifice treadwear.

Any other tires you’d recommend? Love to hear everyone’s opinion on the tires they’ve tried. I’d wanna know size, brand, model, and opinion.

Thank you!

Good luck! I even posted what people are using barely anyone posted. LOL

To answer your question, I am using Michelin 4S for street but currently ordered Federal rsrr to test it out. For track probably order RE71

Size 255/35/r18

There are way too many good tires out there to list. Is money no object? How many miles do you drive every month? Do you care about extra road noise?

I am really enjoying the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 in 255/35/18 that I installed one week ago.
At $121.00 each, they are a STEAL of a deal and I have not noticed any lack of grip compared to stock, if not even less wheelspin in 2nd.

Yes, those are actually THE best tire for the money in my opinion. I've tracked them before and was really impressed with the grip for that price.

In reality I’m looking to turn this into one big pot of tire information, suggestions, and opinions. Currently willing to spend 1k on just tires. Been looking into Michelin ps4s but I’m worried traction may be trash compared to let’s say an Advan a052. Though and advan I think is a 10k mile tire.

Heard great things about the A052's on many different types of cars. Advan Neova's are the best tire I've ever driven, but BIG $$$ and I hear they wear out really fast. I sold the wheels they were on after only about 1,200 miles so I don't know if that's true or not.
Toyo Proxes r888r's are also amazing in my book. But depends if you daily your car and how fast you'll put on mileage, etc.

I put on maybe 5k miles a year but really only spirited street driving and canyon runs.

Sounds like you may be a perfect candidate for the RE71R. It will def last you the whole year and maybe close to 2 years.

Depends on your budget and setup. Around the CTR community, I've seen; Michelin PS4S, Bridgestone RE71, Advan AD08, A052 for the higher priced tires. Lots also like Federal RSRR for the value cost/performance. Hear they're loud AF though. Can't go wrong w/ the Michelin all around if you're in Ca.
