I know that the Civic Si is sold in both North and South America, but I was wondering whether any have found their way to Europe. Obviously the Civic hatchback models, including the Type R, are sold there (and also built in the UK). Perhaps an expatriate American -- or an American currently stationed in Europe, for either business or while serving in the US armed forces -- has privately imported one. If so, I would like to hear what it's like to drive the Si on European roads and expressways, and if the car attracts unusual attention given that it is a somewhat different shape (especially the Si coupe) than the Civic hatchbacks that are familiar to Europeans.

There is/are at 1 or 2 people here who took their Si's to EU as they were stationed at a military base. There is also someone who exported an Si to Japan from USA: https://www.instagram.com/_legua_/

Did any of the Si owners in Europe ever discuss (in this forum) their experience owning/driving the car in Europe?

That Si coupe in Japan was exotic enough to be featured in a magazine over there. It looks really good; I like the lip added to its rear wing.

When I was in the military my supervivor got sent to England, he had(and still has) a 2009 Si with about 100,000miles. Even though he could have just sold his 9 year old car (this was in 2018) and bought a car when he got there, he loved his 8th gen Si so much he decided to ship it. He is still driving it in England today. Havent asked him how people react to it over there, but I'm sure he gets a lot of attention.

My last car was an 8th gen Si sedan, and I also loved it. In the UK, there were some imported FD2 (JDM 8th gen Type R) cars, a completely different car from the FN2 (the Euro Type R of that time). I recall the FD2 being very well-reviewed by British car magazines at the time. The FD2 was kind of like the super version of the 8th gen Si sedan, with a more highly tuned engine and much stiffer suspension. There was even a seriously lightweight factory racing version available in Japan.

The Civic / Si especially as a coupe has been exclusive to the USA. There are some older models imported as used vehicles, especially in Germany and then sold to other EU countries. I have not heard of a 10th GEN Si being spotted in the EU so far, there must be no more than a handful. I am pretty sure they will draw attention. Dont see a reason why they would drive any different on EU roads. EU highways are in great condition and the Autobahn in Germany is a great road to drive on, as there are parts that have no speed limits. Most EU countries have a speed limit of 80mph on highways and 55mph for B-roads. Greece now has amazing highways, a speed limit of 80 but minimum patrolling so most people drive around 90-100mph.

Pump gas in the EU is 95RON minimum, with most if not all gas stations selling 95, 97/98 and 100 RON gas. Gas prices vary from $5.68 per gallon to $7.15 per gallon depending on the EU country, with Greece being the most expensive one ( I think). I use 97RON or 100RON and todays prices are $7.15 for Shell 97RON and $8.21 per gallon for 100RON. And no, salaries are not that high in most EU countries....Gas is heavily taxed across the EU.
