Was just at Penske Honda in Ontario. They got a CW CTR for 46000 before TTL. I called Norm Reeves Honda Cerritos and they have 2 CW CTRs on the way for 44000>_>. This is outrageous.
You’re going to have to do some negotiating in person to get a decent price in SoCal. The going price is around 2-3000k above msrp

Being a dealer myself. I think you guys shouldn't be taking asking prices over the phone too seriously . The best price is the one you negotiated in person .

I'm tired of ppl asking "what is your best price" over text and stuff. In another word that's like " I'm too lazy and don't know how to negotiate " So you are not gonna get a good price.

not true. some of the people on here have traveled miles to a dealership that had offered a good deal to them only to find out that their price got marked up even worse.

No, man. Going inside a dealer without securing a confirmed MSRP via phone/email for the CTR is a complete waste of time 10 times out of 10. Don't do it. If you have patience, just email blast dealers within 500-mile radius and see which one sticks. The alternative is to buy out of state (from PA or OH) for MSRP + transport. Less headache and dealers charging ADM can rot in hell.

That’s odd, I had an honest dealer within 75 miles of me who completed a deal with me at MSRP over text in 15 mins

Dealers who play games and waste my time don’t get my business...

I totally agree. Any dealer who requires me to step foot on their lot to give me their "best price" is a dishonest dealer. I have enough dealerships in my area to where I simply call around and ask them for their best price and let them know that whichever dealership gives me the best price is the dealer I'm driving over and purchasing the car from immediately. It worked for me quite well when buying my wife's CR-V, and it worked for my purchase of a Type R, too.

In other words, don't waste my time, which I assure you is much more valuable than the pittance you are going to discount me if you're one of those silly "You have to show up to get my best price" dealers.

What a complete load of BS. There is no need whatsoever to step foot inside a dealership to negotiate a price on any new vehicle. The entire dealership experience is designed to make the most money for the dealer. In 2019, the best price negotiations (in favour of the buyer) happen over email. If a dealership isn't wise enough to provide a fair price in advance, in writing, then they simply do not deserve your business.

ah, yes, the classic "website glitch" story. I heard that run around a lot when I was on the hunt as well. Dealers lure in prospective buyers with that BS. Coggin Honda here in FL was the worst with this tactic
i can confirm Coggin Honda is terrible at this, and their "our listed price is the lowest price" haggle-free pricing system is a joke.

Please put Loma Linda off the Msrp list. I just drive 60+ miles to this dealer and they want 45k before tax+fee for a SGP type r
Call metro honda in montclair ca and ask for Peng Wu, tell him Albert sent you... he worked some magic for me! they currently have a blk and blue CTR... Good luck

I paid 3K over in Sanford Fl at Autonation Honda.
Contrary to other auto purchases elsewhere this couldn't have been a more pleasant experience.
Another Honda dealer in the area charges 10K over.

I called Metro that day as well but they said wait a week for a blue CTR but I went to Rock Honda after got turn away from Loma Linda, and bought a white CTR that day with 3k5 ADM. OTD is like 44k 60 months with 2.99% Honda financing.
