I imagine others are going to chime in with much more knowledge than me on this, but I'd advise against doing this. Dumping extra fuel into the motor during deceleration and or messing with timing to create backfires seems like a bad idea.

You can get interesting sounds by just having a low pressure exhaust. My Injen only had a high-flow resonator and 0 mufflers. Used to make some wild popping noises.

Is there an other way to do it safely

No, to make those sounds you either need to be straight piped and catless and running a little rich (ECU automatically readjusts AFR)
or retard timing dramatically which will damage your motor.

+1 just get an exhaust. Doing it with a tune just seems risky. I get loads of pops and burbles with my 27WON catted exhaust

You "can" get gunshot. In my experience, I hold rpm steady roughly around 3800 for a few seconds, and as I let off gas pedal and clutch in, then shift and left of clutch while pressing gas pedal about 15-25%, it dumps a little more fuel right before ignition and BANG. Of course, it'll be a hit or miss. I'm sure that when you monitor your short term fuel trim, as you shift and gas pedal, your fuel trim should be in the negative 10-25 for a blip of a second. Mine's a hatchsport 6mt

It's not necessarily safe on any of those cars either. It's not healthy for any car. It's purely for sound effects and it's dumb as hell. The car will naturally make some burbles with a more free flowing exhaust, without having to tune in excess fueling or retarding timing.

It's not going to blow your engine up, but each of those late combustion events will add up over time causing some serious buildup on your valves and exhaust and just excess heat throughout.

A properly tuned car will not make these noises.

Yeah this "burble" tune is not going to exist from any reputable company. Get an after market exhaust and enjoy the slight natural crackles and pops that occur. That is cool. Improperly tuning your vehicle to make loud pops after every shift is NOT COOL.

This. Theres an idiot in a mini cooper that tuned his car to sound like a machine gun everytime he shifts and he drives past my house atleast once a day. There are easier and less harmful ways to get everyones attention if that's what you're going for.
