Used Hondata units do not typically drop in price unless someone is just trying to get rid of it or it's a buddy.

just a FYI used tuners dont typically come up. Since the tuner box is locked to the car (it can be unlocked if they remember) and no matter what your ecu has to be sent to hondata to be jailbroken even if you do find a used unlocked flasher. But I went through this myself and the ones I found that the owners forgot to unlock it before selling the car. which makes then a useless paperweight. but like i said if you do happen to find a used one that was unlocked first you still have to pay to have ecu jailbroken and the minimum savings on the unlocked flasher probably isn't worth the wait to find one. plus even if they remember to unlock it they also have to remember to unregister it as the owner. bottom line if ya want one just go get a package deal from a tuner site. just my 2 cents as someone whos been there.

Ditto. This (FP for the CTR) rarely come up for sale. Ping people who are selling their CTRs may increase your chance. Regardless, you’ll still need to fork out $300 for ECU jailbreak after buying a used FP. Good luck.

thanks.. i am aware that I need to spend $300 to jailbreak ecu.. however, it is not like I can save that amount of money unless i decided to run stock ecu..
I am trying to see anyone part out the type r and return to stock .. or anyone switch from hondata to ktuner (very unlikely).
