As a whole, it just looks too much like the Camero!! the rear end of the out going C7 is 10x better looking I think...and this is a Vette! most people will be slower and thus will be looking at the back end most of the time...so the back end must look good! looking like a Camero is not a good look...
really? I like the look of the ZL1 1LE rear end so maybe that's why i don't mind it haha.

I think if you take the 1LE wing and slap it on, i think it wouldn't look too bad. You are right though, i do like the C7 lamps over the camaro one if i had to choose lol.

I like the 1LE look too, but it just didn't work with the C8...I thought it gets it's own lighting scheme.

Calliing that a copy is pretty funny considering Honda just added weird shaped plastic that looks like grills and ZR1 actually needs all of that grills for all if the coolers up front...
Not talkin grills or if functional....talking over all design and shape around grills

i haven't seen it in person yet so i guess i'll wait to see how i feel. Not sure why they didn't just try to utilize the C7 Tail lamps.

From the pictures, it doesn't look TOO bad to me. Just feels empty without that rear wing lol. Who knows, i may change my mind once i see it in person lol.

yes, I was feeling some local pride before getting a Z06 and checked out the NSX, as they build it about 35 miles from my house. I was always a fan as Senna helped set up the suspension on the original (if you haven't seen the video of him taking a white NSX around Suzuka with the PiP showing his footwork....you owe it to yourself to find it). It's very cool having a super car built in central Ohio. Gorgeous car, very fast, and handles like it's on rails.....BUT.....inside, well, it's a Honda. And that engine sound. Like a V6 Accord with the muffler removed....I just couldn't get past that-no exotic sound to match the looks and performance....well, that and the price. I think it's a bargain for what you are getting, but it's still 6 figures....

I don't think the C8 looks like an NSX, but if there is a resemblance, well, that's not a bad thing.
haha. Very well put man. And I have seen that Aryton Senna video. What a legend.

The exhaust on the NSX isn't actually that bad...erhm.. after you add an aftermarket exhaust that is. But compared to its competitors, it's basically a kitten in a field of lions.

Haha. I actually really like the rear of this thing. I think it could've been better integrated but what do i know? I drive a CTR. haha.

I think when the Z06 version comes out, I'll probably be getting one. Always been itching to try out American muscle and i think this will be the one I enter in with.

I didn't read this entire thread FYI

But I am very excited for the C8 Corvette!
A mid engine REAR WHEEL DRIVE!

The only thing missing is a manual but this sounds like the NSX I've been wanting at a good price! (If there's no dealer mark up)
I'm all JDM or die but I can't resist this!

The modding potential with this car, it already competes with Lambos and 911 Porsches just from the set up stand point.

I'm very excited!

I've owned Corvettes since my Z51 7-speed C6 in 2005.

They are really great cars, especially the C7.

I currently track a 2018 Z06 Z07 7-speed 3LZ. It's a phenomenal car.

It will be very interesting to start seeing the press reviews on the C8. If it is everything they say, it will be a game changer. The engineering team learned a lot from the track-related cooling issues on the C7 Z06.

As much as I love my 2019 Type-R, it is nowhere near as intense of a ride as the Z06.

I give kudos to GM for making such a bold move. Let's just hope the quality, reliability, and performance are there.

who cares if a car company "borrowed" a design from another as long as it looks good.

All long midship cars are going to have a similiar silhouette due to the nature of the mid engine lay out.

Haha. I actually really like the rear of this thing. I think it could've been better integrated but what do i know? I drive a CTR. haha.

haha yeah. At least it's better than having those big black fake vents in the rear.
I definitely can't wait for the Z06 version. Imagine a wider body with a more aggressive exhaust and aero all the way around

I love it.

Borrowed or not, lets not pretend the NSX and Type R design is completely original either--that's my whole point at least. Honda took cues from the A7 when they designed the sloping Civic sedan's roofline, and they also took the RS7 bumper intakes for the Type R.

Who cares if the C8 "borrowed" from the NSX, which also borrowed from whatever car out there.

Never been a Vette fan, care even less for pushrod apologists. The design looks dated, straight out of the 1990's, and about as aerodynamic as a Countach. The rear end is hideous, but at least the interior isn't all plastic for a change. But I'm sure their market, old men trying to recapture their youth, will love it.

And you're driving what, a Cooper and an SI - wow, man such a storied pedigree of performance to be spewing so much hate and ignorance regarding a car you'll probably never be able to afford in the first place...

You might want to take your cars out to Watkins and see how they stack up against 'old men' and their 'antiquated' Vettes...

i'm still pretty polarized...maybe a fixed, lip style wing will work better aesthetically for me...but my god, it is stunning from the front and sides...
