I’ve noticed the same thing, plugging in the FP or unplugging it makes the light flash when the car is running.

This one also has the no boost/ power until 4k rpm symptom on 3.4.1

The MT boost problem fix will be released tomorrow. The work around in the meantime is to switch on cruise control main.

Are you using e30 tune ? Also what mods do you have and what time are you trying to select fir the mod list and what are you selecting for the initial tune?
Unless you clear the code from the ecu it will stay in limp mode. Either try your FlashPro to clear it or disconnect the battery. Just cause the light isn’t in doesn’t mean the code isn’t there.
trust me I’ve been a real automotive tech doing diagnostics for over 20 years

What do you mean it doesn’t run that way? Do you mean less power?.
Here’s what I’m going to suggest. This does happen once in a blue moon where an ecu is unable to write data correctly or clear all code info. Ive had this problem with 2 Subaru ecu’s a few GM ECUs and I don’t want to get into VW which is very similar to our current ecu.
1 restore to stock
2 unpair
3 disconnect battery
4 drive normal till learning function lights go out.( the car will have to relearn things like steering pisition ect there will be lights on dash they go out
5 if the radio doesn’t come back leave it parked running it will eventually don’t forget to press power butting fir 2 seconds when the radio asks when first restarting
6 erase any tunes on FlashPro
7 finally reload your tunes to FlashPro and car
You must delete and reload your tunes for the updates to take place. Also to clear any possible corrupt data.

I’m glad I was lucky I guess but I’m running a custom tune. Don’t know if it matters.
The reason I was saying to unpair was so you know your starting from a clean tuning slate. I had this same issue with my zl1 where tunes wouldn’t load correctly. I’d load a known perfect tune and the car would do something stupid like. It wouldn’t read bank 2 o2 and run terrible. The ecu holds more memory than you think and clearing codes doesn’t clear all memory. It’s kind of like clearing main memory on a computer but forgetting to clear the cache and still having a problem. Other things like flashing on a low battery can cause issues. Sone cars need a constant digital controlled voltage supply and a jump box because a fan might come on during the flash and the voltage fluctuations halt the flash midway bricking the ECU. I’ve had to use dealer software to flash a few people who tried to flash there vehicles at home.

I always do a few things before I flash. I turn off anything that communicates with or through the main ecu. Well for our cars that’s everything including radio headlights and heat.
I never open or close any doors during a flash and I never leave hood or trunk open and I don’t touch the windows.
You have to understand that all of your cars modules communicate through the same 2 wires. On your obd 2 connector are 2 communication wires and power for scanner and with those 2 wires you communicate with every module. So if your flashing and you do something that sends a signal to the main ecu at the same time there’s a chance you can mess up the flash.

These things don’t affect every car but they are good practice.

I had always suspected this. I may try it to see if it affects the fuel trims using the same tune (im going to be looking for about a 5% change because over the multiple flashes and versions of tunes I have ran in the past year seem to have cumulated more than a few % changes in fueling some how.)
