Given the specs and US price this C8 looks interesting. If the car proves reliable and not expensive to maintain it would be great.
However for Europe I think that sadly the prices will double almost following the "tradition" of C6, C7. Rests the grey imports route: car purchased from overseas, imported and modified to comply with regulations. I'd take this any day over a Cayman if it proves to be a dependable car.

What do you think about C8? (I guess for 1-2 years mark-ups will be insane in US)

I like it I guess. I'm glad they make it. Its just not a vehicle I would legitimately consider for purchase. I need something with just a bit more "daily driver-ness"

For the price I'm a big fan but the first thing I noticed were the quarter panel scoops and how fat they make the hips look. They probably did that to get more air into the mid engine but man... do they need to flare out that much? The ford gt handled the engine air so much more elegantly.

I dig it. I was always a fan of the Corvette and now that they made a MR platform with price point of around $60K, it will become the new benchmark for performance for sure. Will I consider purchasing it? Not anytime soon, I need a practical family car, which the CTR currently is:thumbsup:

Wood buy in 3-4 years after market cools down.
My thought exactly. Let the first year issues get worked out, let everyone else pay over MSRP then pick one up at CarMax with a legit warranty in the 50s and go flog it on track. Win win

I will definitely add one to my garage. Probably the base version, I'm done with having to baby super expensive cars.

First of all I couldn't afford a base model much less a future higher end model they're surely to release.
I don't dig cars too much if they're found on every street corner. They lose their luster for me. Take the Mustang GT for instance. They're fast but damn you can barely drive a few blocks without seeing one or two of them. Same thing with the base model corvettes around here. They're everywhere. Hell, even the c7 Z06 is everywhere around here. I barely bat an eye at it. It doesn't seem special. Now, when I see a ZR1 I break my neck to get a look at it!
That's kinda the way the CTR is with me. There are definitely more around now than a couple of years ago but you just don't see that many. I still look at the beautiful Si when it drives by, especially the coupe, but it just isn't as fun as it is when I see another CTR unexpectedly on the road.
But then again, everyone likes cars for their own reasons. I do hope they end up making a Zora or ZR1 model cause I'll get the joy of driving it and riding in it at my buddy's expense.

if it lives up to the hype in the reviews, it is a hell of a value.

It costs just about your 2 cars' new price combined. You afforded those. Think about that. :p

Hopefully the C8 interior will be a bit more captivating, instead of the same old boring / "American" / old fashion interior styling, which should have been gone with this current C7 already! :banghead: Yet, I patiently wait :coffee:

EDIT: even the current C7 Z06 is pretty sick already...if only the interior looks a bit ______ .

the interior doesn't look too bad. I like how everything is catered towards you but idk how i feel about the vertical panel controls though.

The side profile of the car looks amazing. With that profile, it can be like a cheaper "supercar"

I like everything but the rear design. I am looking forward to seeing more videos of the rear end. Maybe it will grow on me.

Honda needs to lower the NSX price and get a Type R version out ASAP!
