I was having the infamous 2nd gear grind, so bought Amsoil Synchromesh and took it in to my local Honda dealership to put it in for me just to see if this would help, and the service manager told me that I would void my warranty if I did it. He did change out the fluid with their official transmission fluid to see if that would help. 2nd gear grind happened on my way out of the parking lot.....
Change it yourself and don’t tell them

Your clutch is probably dragging. Do the pedal adjustment and see if that helps. OEM Honda fluid is actually good.

200 miles in I had been experiencing chronic light crunching and significant resistance going from near to gear. I swapped out the trans fluid for a fresh batch of Honda MTF and immediately the symptoms went away. It's been butter ever since.

I know Amsoil is great stuff, but anyone using Ford's synthetic fluid that delco syncro-mesh stuff as a cure or preventative measure for grinding gear problem? Ford's stuff supposed to be really good.

AC Delco Synchromesh Friction Modified. I use it in every K Series I had over the years and it's really good stuff. I find the gear shifts to feel much much smoother in my FK8 than when it had fresh Honda MTF in it.

Just changed my transmission fluid finally with the amsoil synchromesh! Damn its slick and crisp like new! I'm at 27,500 miles on my CTR. Dont wait as long as I did. My mechanic said he noticed the old fluid had lost some of its slickness and or viscosity. Thank you guys for all yalls feedback and recommendation.
