Oops... you’re right.

Well then, tint is still a must.
forgot about tint. yes that is one very important to me too. I usually let the dealer throw it in for free and negotiate the brand/type.

Ktuner will completely transform your civic. It is the best first mod for performance upgrades and best bang for your buck. Highly recommended running the starter duel map. ECO button=factory tune, ECO button off = transformed engine.

First thing I did was flip the ugly orange markers for clears from IDMTOY which look great, match the clear headlamp assemblies, and have an LED that looks orange at night and clear during the day for maximum matchage.
I can't get on board with clear side markers. The orange ones are reflective orange and help other drivers see where the front of my car is in a dark parking lot (or at least the markers increase the odds in my favor).

What color(s) are you Honda(s)? That makes a difference in the 'orange' conversation.

Black for the hatchback, and dark green for the CR-V (my old '02 hatch was black, too).

Sometimes I want it blacked-out like Jackie Chan's car in Cannonball Run, but that's been played out for almost forty years.

I guess I'm fine with the nibs of color on the car, even if they're government-mandated. Reminds me of the OP39.

stock clutch is weak fyi.
OP could have CVT or Manual. We get the choice on the ST HB in Canada so they will have to supply that info.

As for what I would do, most of the big things have been listed and in the generally right order.
  • Protection items first. Paint, floors, rust protection, etc...
  • Performance second. KTuner first and foremost (I have this on my list even though I only have a 2.0NA), tires then suspension
  • Cosmetics last. Tint, interior and tail bulbs replaced with LEDs, marker light replacement, etc...
Oh and even though you have the Crystal Eye LED headlights, if you don't like the look or the performance, there are always the full replacement units from Morimoto: http://www.morimotohid.com/honda-ci...LED+Equipped)&preselect=&preselect_restrict=1

I mainly want performance mods. I like ponies and to go fast. I come from a background of a couple classic american muscle builds. Figured I could make my daily something that can be fun. Not looking for anything extreme!
All you require is 1) Tuner hardware of your choice and 2) An upgraded IC of your choice (if you like to play more than just blip now and then.
Simple...

There's also the Burger Motorsports JB4 piggyback. It's still fairly new to this platform and I've only read about a couple of users on here with it. They do seem to have a good rep in the BMW and VW communities. I only bring it up because I have their SRI and it's pretty good so far ( I have ktuner for tuning)
I've been running one since February. For what it is, it works great. I've been happy with it.

Hi everyone! Ill be picking up my new 2019 Civic Sport Touring Hatch in polished metal soon, and Im looking for some start off mods or tips and tricks! Im completely new to the car scene coming from a stock 2017 Silverado LTZ Z71. Ive been doing tons of research and any tips or mods you guys have done would be much appreciated! One thing I want to do is get clear or smoked side markers.

Thanks!
I have to agree with the other guys. Ktuner for performance. Tint to help protect the interior and keep you cooler while also changing the looks dramatically. But one tip I can give you that is very important to keep your car looking new is if you want to wash your car you need to go to a reputable car wash. They have filtered water and will prevent you from getting water spots on your new paint. Trust me I learned the hard way by washing my car at home and got water spots. I had to take it to a detail shop so they could remove them because I couldn’t get them off. So now I take it to the car wash every time and my paint still looks like it came off the showroom floor
