I haven't been able to do any logs. I hope to get a chance soon just so risky.
Logging is a nightmare. really you are going so fast if you are full throttle in third or fourth it’s literally like jail here I come.

Got my JB4 in the mail today and decided I couldn’t wait and went ahead and installed it after work.
The quality of the JB4 is much better than the JB1 I had for my golf R. The wireless connector is pre installed too.
The JB4 is extremely easy to install in the car- much easier than in the golf R where you have to go under the car to access one of the plugs.
For the Type R there are just two connections in the engine bay. Then you route the OBD connector through a gap in the door. This is the “dirty” method but honestly it looks pretty clean to me I don’t think I would notice the wire if I didn’t know it was there.
I drove it around the block and the power gain is noticeable even just on map1 which is 3.5 pounds of added boost. It’s most noticeable in third gear. Very hot here today I bet it’ll be even more impressive when it ever cools down.
The app works great, it easily connected to the JB4 and immediately starts showing real time data.
So far I would say it is great bang for the buck and will be super easy to remove for any trips to the dealership.

I've had one in my Si now since like February. Daily on Map 5 (+6 psi) usually, but have spent a good amount of time in Map 7 (+9 psi). For what it is, it's fantastic. I'm very happy with it.

Anyone been using it for a while, curious, m
DEALERSHIP here I come and I will ask how deep they can possibly dive. My car will be there next week and I am friends with the Master Tech and I am GREAT friends with the Service Manager. (pretty decent rapport with the GM)
I worked at a different Honda dealership and I was surprised to see what they could download compared to the Corvette techs I worked with at Chevy. There are proprietary soft codes.
No flexin' No jokin'

what they say??? thinking about not installing flash tune in my 19 and getting a piggy back instead, or just leaving it alone.

Went to map 2 this week after doing some logs and getting the ok from BMS. Loving this mod. Traction in 1st and 2nd gear has definitely become more of an issue though!

Q : does it improve in the whole throttle range or only at WOT?
I believe it tries to achieve +3.5-4 (depending on map setting) pounds of boost over stock regardless of throttle position. It feels like that too.

I use Hondata, they know that, and the focus of the visit became all about the swift springs and alignment specs. So I do not have info for you, sorry.

Map 2, car feels great. I don't beat or abuse my car. I just like the power. So far the JB4 is a great bang for the buck. The app works great changing maps on the fly and gauges to monitor things. Data logging and CEL reading/clearing.

Does anybody have actual dyno graphs? Read that these things aren’t good for the motors? Any and all info welcome!

Yeah makes me laugh when people say they can’t feel it working and it’s not as good as a flash tune but then won’t datalog to show that it’s actually adding boost properly. It’s definitely noticeable you can feel the torque increase. Worked well on golf R I owned as well.
