That warranty doesn't cover potholes... I've tried this.... it will get you $30 off of our $300+ tires though.....

New 18" wheels and thick tires on the way
I wonder if that's a USA thing?

The Honda Canada website points out potholes
https://www.honda.ca/owners/warranty/honda-plus/tire-rim-protection

Honda Plus Tire and Rim Protection will cover you from any unexpected potholes, uneven manhole covers, nails or screws. And in Canada, your winter tires are covered, too.

Which warranty are you referring to? The overpriced Safeguard Cosmetic Wheel Protection And Tire and Wheel Protection policies i initially bought from the dealership (Which i later cancelled for a refund)? The Fidelity Premium policy i replaced the Safeguard one with? The standard Fidelity policy? And no doubt there are several others available.

Members have posted about getting their tires replaced and wheels repaired or replaced in the thread on wheel and tire protection. But it would be interesting to hear about your experience.

If you let the dealer know you hit a pot hole its probably not covered. I hit a pothole last week and the tire got damaged and took it to the dealer and said I have the warranty and my tire needs to be replaced with out anymore details and 2hours later I got a new tire

Uh... so what does the warranty cover then???
Sounds like different dealers offer different plans for tire and wheel coverage. The plan I got specifically says it DOES cover potholes, as stated under "Tire and Wheel Protection" on this page.

That's if you have smaller wheel and smaller tire. I have 18s and 275/35 tires. they are the closest height you can get to stock wheel and tire height (only off by.1-.3 inches). My 18" wheel center point is damn near the same (again only .1-.3 of an inch off) from the center point of the stock wheel. Now if you get smaller wheels and smaller tires, that can hurt handling.

Interesting. I need to go find my paperwork and see who it’s even from then. I thought it would have been through Honda themselves (as Acura has their own) but apparently it’s not.

Depends on what state you live in, as each state's Dept. of Insurance is different (the agency that regulates warranties, insurance, and the licenses to sell both).
My tire and wheel warranty [Auto Armor through Nation Safe Drivers] covers any and all damage, no questions asked.

Please read the wheel and tire warranty information and it's terms and conditions to determine what is, and is not, covered in your state.

If you let the dealer know you hit a pot hole its probably not covered...
Please don't make such claims, as you have no way of knowing, unless you know the company the wheel & tire warranty was bought through (FYI: it's not the dealership's plan) and have read the terms and conditions (something many are failing to do).

Well mine didn't cover so I got me some new wheels, just waiting on the tires to get here. I'm gonna sell 3 of the wheels and keep one for a spare

SPEAKING OF THE DEVIL... I hit a god damn huge pot hole that i instantly thought cracked my rim and .2 seconds later my tire was completely flat. Lucky for me i literally live 2 blocks away from the exit so i was able to coast it home. I have wheel and tire package but unfortunately they are making me bring the whole car into the dealer to fix the tire. I asked them if i could just bring the wheel/tire instead of going through the whole process of towing it there and what not but they rejected that. :))))))))) Does anyone know how much the OEM tires are? I rather just go to a tire shop and buy it myself than do all this shit. Mind you this has happened to me before and the dealer i have to go to is like 35 minutes away because the dealer thats 5 minutes away from my house doesnt have the machine to do it??? :))))))))) Last time i was there, i kid you not, it took me 4 hours. They bullshit so much i was so close to leaving and buying the tire myself... BUT YEA. Also FUCK NJ for their shitty highways...
