Both beatrush and Cusco have their approach on how they want to stiffen the FK8 platform. I prefer Cusco, As to Beatrush looking beefier/stronger? What are you referring too?

In regards to doubling a cusco center brace and spoon stiff plate I would just choose one or the other. I don't think both will fit at the same time. Cusco allows your to reuse your existing bolts. As for the Spoon's it will come with new longer bolts to install their stiff plate.
pretty much verbatim. Look at them and compare. the Beatrush is a 32mm shaft, so it looks beefier/stronger. Anyways, i ended up getting the Cusco bars since one of the locals had it in stock.

I can also attest the OEM plastic under tray fits without any issues. In fact, if you're just doing the front bar only for whatever reason, you don't even have to remove the entire under tray. Remove the alum piece and you can get enough clips out to pull down and slide the bar thru. But, you have to remove the plastic for the center bar. I tried, but by the time i took off the clips, i had 4 more to go to remove the whole thing, so i just removed it. The back, you don't have to remove exhaust. I just slid the bar thru. I didn't use any support for the sub frame either. it doesn't move. It's got enough bolts attached to it and is fixated.

I installed the Cusco front strut bar today. It went smoothly except for one minor issue that is neither Cusco nor Mishimoto's fault in any way.

The hose bracket's hex head bolt was so slightly contacting the bar at the red circle below. The hose bracket was pushed out a couple of millimeters by the Mishimoto oil catch can's bracket. I simply replace the OEM hex head bolt with an allen round head bolt of the same M6x12mm size.

Besides the above, I wasn't sure whether to use to Honda or Cusco's strut nuts torque spec of 46 lb ft. or 34 lb ft. respectively. I ended up using the latter.

The strut bar bracket to strut bar is torqued at 42 lb ft.

thx! good to know. Mishi's bracket pushed it out maybe 1/8" or so that contacts the cusco bar. So it's the mishi's fault. :p Honestly, no will be able to predict which aftermarket part will affect theirs.

I installed the front lower crossbar. The engine undercover fits, but there is slight rubbing at the red circle below.

I placed a strip of paint protection film there. It is only a few inches from the down pipe (ceramic coated) and front pipe (exhaust wrapped). I hope it doesn't melt and make a big mess.

Sorry to bump such an old thread. Trying to decide between the Spoon Stiff plate or all of the Cusco braces. I already have the Cusco Strut bar. I can get all three lower Cusco braces for less than the Spoon stiff plate so whats my incentive to go Spoon? Weight can't be that much different. Any info is appreciated. Cheers

Like you said Cusco is the better deal so why not? I have all cusco and love them and track often. You get 3vs 1. Also, evens out the car where you can add some stiffened to the front and rear. Spoon is a good piece, but you also paying for spoon name.
