Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax is just a quick wax but not a substitute of wax. I use it primarily between waxes, after a wash.

My recommendation of Meguiars waxes:
1. 3-in-1 Wax
2. Ultimate Liquid Wax. ULW
3. Ultimate Quik Wax. UQW

3-in1 is a AIO (all in one) product which includes cleaner, polish and wax. I always use Meguiars Cleaner Wax but I see it is no longer available. It was probably replaced by this 3-in-1 Wax.
Ultimate Liquid Wax has little cleaner in it so its main purpose is to protect the paint.

If you are have the time to detail your car monthly, I would buy all 3 items. I will alternate between ULW and 3-in-1.
If you want to save time, I would buy only 3-in-1 and UQW.

I used to use their Ultimate Fast Finnish which I felt was a great product. Easy one, easy off, up to 6 months protection but then my car is rarely out in direct sunlight. Spends most days in either a garage or in a parking garage (out of direct sunlight). I cant image spending the time every two months waxing it, to much work. Ever consider a ceramic coating?

Cermaic coating, looked around my area and is kind of pricey, i dont mind waxing every so often.

This is what I used https://luxurymicrofiberstore.com/collections/chemicals/products/dpc-shield
If your paint work is good you should be able to apply it directly otherwise you may need to do a one step. Took me 2 days to do 2 applications on my car. Its actually pretty easy to do and last week I did my first ever touchless car wash. The leaf blower made Fast work of the remaining water that was on the car.

I started off with megs ultimate and now use Wolfgang deep gloss paint sealant 3.0. It's a quite bit more but lasts a long time. Megs is good though

No need, new wax would go on top of the old wax. However, it is always good to start all over again after a few waxes. Clay would remove the wax. I typically clay only once a year.

Wax every 2 weeks is certainly an overkill. Wax would last at least 2-3 months. This is why I recommend Meguiars Quik Wax which I use after each wash. Quick wax would bring up extra “pop” to the paint.

As a side note, there are people who use Dawn dish soap to remove old wax. I never try this because since Civic is such a small car, clay would take maybe 20 minutes.

Better question is how well-protected is the paint against UV.

Taken from Meguiars forum:
The primary goal of a wax is to protect the top layers of paint that contain UV-protection agents from the paint manufacture. If you wash and wax your car regularly, your paint will be protected and you should suffer no major UV damage over the normal course of the life of the car.
