I'm 5'8 and 300....so I'm pleasantly plump. I also have some mobility issues due to an offroad accident last year. I find it easiest not to reach across with my right hand or even try getting it with my left hand over my shoulder. I reach down and behind with my left hand and can grab the belt pretty easily. If I try any other method, I struggle...so I do what works for me. I have a Coupe.

LOL, I tried over the shoulder with my right arm 1 time and nearly killed myself. Same results with reaching up with my left. The ONLY way I grab it, is as you do, reach down, and back and slide it out and over. Very easy. Even if I wasn't taller and overweight I think this would be my go-to move.

Jeesh, life's problems, eh? :(:)

6' here too, no issues reaching it, I've never even thought about it. What does drive me bonkers through is the passenger seat belt buckle clunking against the interior any time you're on a bumpy road, of course worse in Sport mode. With my 8th I'd just slide the buckle right to the top and it would stay there until a passenger used it, but with this one it's not tight enough so it just falls right back down to the optimal clunking area in the middle. Hmmm, is there a way to alter the tension on the buckle itself? I just thought of that, I'll have to check unless anyone else beats me to it or already knows.

Whenever my passenger seatbelt is flapping against the pillar, it's always because the buckle is not down all of the way (usually because someone recently used it). Slide the buckle down until it contacts the stop button - I've never once heard it make a noise when it is in the lowest position.

Same here....usually from a passenger not sliding the buckle down as far as it goes....works a treat every time for me.

Is it just me or does the coupe Si seat belts are a bit too far back? I'm 5'9 and I usually have the seats forward to the point where I can press the clutch all the way comfortably at the toes.
Every time I reach for the seat belt, it feels like I'm about to pop my left shoulder lol or if I use my right arm, I gotta almost literally turn my whole torso around to the left to reach it. I'm guessing this is a short people issue (under 6 foot)? Lol
Wondering if there is like a seat belt extender (at the base) so its easier to reach with your left arm?
Don’t go above the shoulder, put your hand down and grab the bottom of the belt. That’s the only way that doesn’t make my shoulder feel like it’s coming out of the socket

I’m 5”9 ended up getting rid of coupe and eventually getting sedan.. get the sedan, the coupe looks better but the seatbelts n less storage/room suck. The non adjustable seat belts were a deal breaker for me and I tried a few things
That's what I'm afraid of. I only got into the car maybe 2-3 times during my test drive but the seatbelt was also cutting into my neck, forgot to mention that. It's honestly almost enough for me to just get the sedan even though I don't want one. You made my decision harder lol.

I'm kidding, this was super useful and may sway my decision towards sedan.

Once you own the car you will figure out the best way to do it for yourself but grabbing from the bottom instead of the top like most car is what works best for me. I cant speak to the cutting into the neck issues mine hits my neck once and a while but nothing insane that makes it super uncomfortable.

I'm about 6'3" or 4" and I reach over with my right arm but push on my right elbow to actually reach the belt, I'm used to it now. I'll have to try the lowdown method.

I get the passenger side clunk constantly, it's slightly better when the buckle is in it's lowest position but it doesn't go away unless I pull the belt across the right side bolster. Mine is from wind, not bumps in the road. If the passenger window is open the buckle will clunk.

I put my seat belt on or grab it with the door still open.

I get the passenger side seat belt clunking everyday when I pull into the parking lot at work. My windows are up, but its the side to side motion of going over the lip of the parking lot pavement. When I remember, I buckle the belt, but then someone rides with me and I get reminded the next day when I hit the parking lot. This happens at slow speeds, any time there is a bump that that rocks the car.

I was thinking about this the other day. I'm 6 foot and 260. I sit all the way back and cannot for the life of me, grab it with my right hand reaching across without choking myself out.
So I just reach my left hand back over my left should and grab it just fine.

Ya easiest way to get it is underhanded. Takes some getting used to but its just natural now. Just need to figure out how to fix the passenger seat belt from slapping the plastic.
Yea, the slapping is especially annoying when the windows are open and driving faster than typical around town driving.
