Saw a thread on here a couple days ago about Meguiars Quik Wax and I figured I’d try it out. Gave the car a wash earlier and finished things off with the wax. For how easy it was to apply I am very impressed.

Been putting this off for awhile. Finally got the black plates and mounted it off to the side. Don’t ask where I got the plastic spacers, I just found them in my toolbox. I think they’re hardware from an IKEA headboard or something the plate bracket is from a VW Golf/Jetta. I like it. I don’t think the white California plates would look as good in that spot

INSTALLED MY WHEELS!! They look so nice in the sun. I'll upload full pics tomorrow after I install the grille and wash the car, but here's a peek.

Gave it a much needed bath and let it dry overnight. Woke up early this morning and used some Meguiar's Quick Wax. Saw a post in a thread that recommended it. I'm as amateur as it gets when it comes to detailing so wanted something easy to use for now. I'll post some better pics later. I'm soaked with sweat and need a break.

Some smoked sidemarkers would look smooth on your car

They are definitely on the list. Along with getting some tint on the windows. Hopefully I can get it done relatively soon.

STRUGGLED to remove the Oil Filter !!! Ist time it has been removed from being fitted at factory. Seemed to be greatly Over-torqued.

The Oil Drain plug however did seem to have been correctly torqued.

So 1st Oil change at 3600 miles .. as indicated to be needed by the Maintenance Reminder. Oil was a lot darker than I expected, but once it drained out, there was no obviously detectable Gas vapors coming off the hot oil in the drain pan.

New oil and filter and car is purring like a Kitten.

Strangely one of the two Threaded Philips bolts was missing from the skid panel - can't blame the Dealer, last time they touched the car was when we 1st drove it new, off their lot, and they were both present at 500 miles when I checked.

Difficult to imagine that it VIBRATED loose ??
Maybe a little Blue Locktite would help, when I get a replacement .

PRL Flex Fuel Kit installed and had the 27WON W1 turbo installed on Saturday. Just received a starter tune file and had to let one rip!

God it's such a blast to drive this now.
