Rattles... Can't take it anymore. My 2003 Honda Civic base model was less noisy ffs.

Probably the most noticeable thing that gets on my nerves is the cabin rattles. Seems cheap inside. Other than that it would be the ease of paint chips forming.

Did you get it checked by the Honda dealership or do you just let it be? Will get mine checked out next week cause I'm gonna tear everything apart otherwise haha

Let's face it, paint chips, wonky infotainment, rattles, big body panel gaps, weak A/C etc. are pretty common complaints. Honda build quality seems to have taken a bit of a dive.

Yet, most of us are willing to overlook a lot of that because the car drives so well.

Probably was already said, but integrated climate controls in the infotainment. I hate factory radios.

The stupid LaneWatch camera which overtakes the infotainment screen and blocks CarPlay Google Maps so I don’t know where to go once I put on my turn signal to exit a highway.

So with LaneWatch disabled and no blind spot detection I’ve got no protection for blind spots in this supposedly huge suite of sensing features which is a joke.
Note that you can toggle LaneWatch on and off by pressing the button at the end of the turn signal stalk, if you need it, on demand.

The only thing I dislike about my civic, I’m not gonna say hate because it’s not that bad, is the TPMS system. There are pros and cons to having the TPMS and not the old sensors in the wheels. But I like how the sensors can tell you how much pressure you got in your tires at the push of a button. With the TPMS it doesn’t give you that information. I would rather have pressure readings instead of a light that comes on when one of my tires is lower than the rest

The amount of extra shit Canadians get on their base model is actually insane
There is actually a DX sedan trim available in Canada, which comes with even less - no AC, no fold down rear backseat, black door mirrors, manual transmission only ...

I think that we can discount the DX as a trim line available in Canada.
I think that they supply each Dealer with about 1 DX car per year, just so they can say "Civic, starting from $18000".

Oddly, because the DX does not have a CVT, turbo charger, Honda's unreliable air conditioning or the Infotainment system or other advanced electronics, it is probably the most reliable Civic that you can buy today.
If all you want is basic transportation without the headaches, the Civic DX is probably the best value of any car in Canada.
