So the local dealer has a new coupe in the lowest model. It's probably not a sedan/coupe thing but the Touring sedan I tried felt much more like a luxury car.

I took the touring sedan out for a drive and really loved it. It was the only car I test drove that actually made me feel like I was having fun giving it gas. The interior was very nice.

I was originally hoping to get a coupe but the headroom in the back is non-existent and I'm 5'6". So I'm kind of worried about the passengers. Also the lack of power seats on the coupe is a huge bummer. The pump thing is just...meh.
I wanted the coupe for the looks and nimbleness of it but I think maybe that's a silly reason. The sedan just seems like a better overall car.

I liked the touring but don't think I can afford it so I'll probably get an ex-l. I will miss not having the sound system on the coupe ex-l or the navigation or the sensing of the touring though. But maybe I can add a sound system later.

well I have the exl coupe not many differences to the touring.. Interior is the same I love the 2 tone gray leather. Besides people have different reasons for buying the sedan or the coupe. I don't like sedans because I prefer sporty looking 2 door coupes for a car. So buy what you like or fits your needs.

I struggled with this decision last week because it made more financial and practical sense to get the Sedan - there was a small rebate, lower interest on financing, and technically has more "features" than a coupe (rear heated seats, climate control, power seat adjustments, etc.)... but I still went with the coupe. This is because ultimately the practicality of the sedan wasn't going to be used very much (I will rarely have passengers) and I wanted to get a car that I would most love to own and drive. That to me was worth the extra couple thousand it would cost me and the loss of some features.

I waited and waited for the coupe EX-L to come out and was very disappointed when I found out none of the trim levels have a powered driver's seat. Ultimately it ended up being a deal breaker for me. I bought my sedan last Saturday and I love it! I knew if I'd gotten the coupe I would have hated the manual seat every time I had to adjust it. And since I decided on the touring instead of the EX-L I have the better stereo too.

And, no, I'm not a grandma or a bald old man. ;-) I just like having a comfy ride. :-D

Honestly, the power seats was a struggle for me too... until I learned that there was no driver memory/preference. I don't plan on letting very many people drive my car anyways so I won't have to adjust very often :D

You didn't get the car you wanted because it didn't have a power drivers seat?

Okkaaayyyy.....

Well, I wanted a power seat in my next car. I was looking at the sedan at first, then I saw the coupe was coming, so I waited. Both cars are very nice and both have great features so I wouldn't say I didn't get the car I wanted. I got exactly what I wanted, it just has 4 doors instead of 2.

When I was shopping for cars I was looking at coupes exclusively. But, when I fell in love with the Civic I actually decided I like the look of the sedan better. The added features were a bonus. And the dealer said I would likely see lower insurance rates and a higher resale value... Not sure if that was just dealer speak or actually true.

Horse puckey. I quoted both. Costs me a dollar more every 6 months over what the Sedan would have. Definitely worth a dollar more to me. :)

I'm glad you like it. I just very much hope you don't start seeing Coupe's and regret not getting one. I know if I would have got the Sedan, I would have regretted it as soon as I passed a green Coupe. Maybe that's just me though.

Yeah, I figured that was likely just the dealer encouraging me to buy the car they had on the lot.
