There is nothing wrong with the OEM Wheels. Stop bashing on them.

You're on drugs. Name me two cars that come from the factory in any drift setup, VIP or stance. Go ahead, I'll be here all day.

What the aftermarket does has nothing to do with what the OEMs do.
You are absolutely retarded. I was speaking on the Japanese car culture and that influenced how Japanese manufacturers design their cars or what product planners might think people would like that might led to 20" wheels on a compact car. You think those vortex generators actually make a big difference? Or you think the fake vents are actually functional? You should learn how to comprehend and you are an idiot trying to be a tough keyboard warrior.

Get some CBD and calm down.
Step away from the forums and read a book
What's the point of this? Either add value or don't. As for me, I've been done with this thread for two days. And I chuckle just the same at Honda's "engineering decision" whenever someone posts up a bent rim. It is what it is, but thanks for the scolding? Maybe take some of your own advice and don't worry about me.

Edit - no, I wouldn't be laughing because that would suck. Maybe an eyeroll...

So I'm a retard for not coming up with asinine assumptions about Japanese car manufacturers? LOL.

And I'm the keyboard warrior? You're the one calling me a retard, LOL. Did someone get butthurt when I said they were on drugs? Awww...

And yes, those vortex generators do something. Get an engineering degree and learn something about how wind works. I did.

Oh and those fake vents? Yeah, I forgot the civic was the very first and only car to ever have them. Nope, no domestics or German cars use them. LOL. What's next? I've got all day :D

And yes, Honda put 20 inch wheels on a civic to look cool and nothing else. Do you know anything about Honda? The CTR is probably my 10th Acura or Honda product. I've been with the company since the turn of the millennium. Honda is a super conservative company through and through and this is the FIRST car to break out of that mold and have massive wheels. Honda has always put smaller wheels on their cars and the aftermarket Always upsized them for any Honda. Always.

But c'mon big boy... Gimme more of those insults!

And you need to realize that executive business decisions happen for every car, at every level. I'm betting Honda cheaped out on the wheels likely knowing that 95% of owners would switch them out for something track specific or whatnot. Eventually Honda needs to have an upper price limit to any car. They can't keep throwing more shit into it without sacrificing price. So which is it? You want better wheels? What are you willing to sacrifice in return? Because price point won't shift.

So here's the deal. I don't even know if that comment was in reference to me, it probably isn't but...

I'm not proud of how I acted at the beginning of this thread. But it is what it is. I got heated, and so did OP and honestly? That's how passionate we are. Plain and simple.

I may not agree with @Harlaquin on this particular topic but you know what? His passion for this platform and his car is enviable. I'd like to think I'm as passionate but when it comes down to it, he's not wrong, I'm not wrong. @SixxSpeed isn't wrong. We're just different.

And that's effing cool.

Its all good, cars make people crazy. They are a passion. People not agreeing makes things interesting. Imagine how boring the world would be if we all agreed. We would all be driving the same car with the same color. We good hope to drive with ya one day.

I still have my factory 20's and love them. sure I've gone thru 3-sets of different 18's, but I still slap on the factory 20's for couple of weeks ever summer to feel the real CTR again. :)

Yes, you are a retard to start an attack and call people on drugs on my first, neutral comment.

I know my F80 M3 doesn't have fake vents, "Honda expert". Has Honda been conservative? Of cause it has. They sell cars to the masses. Is CTR not over-the-top with all the fins, gills and fake vents? Absolutely. Most cars have some fake vents to some degree, and if CTR's fake vents are typical, everyone won't be so upset about them. You said it yourself - this is their first car to have 20" wheels. Was that not partially influenced by the Japanese form over function car culture? Don't pretend that popular culture doesn't influence the OEM marketplace. I didn't even read through your whole comment. What a waste of time and I know you have plenty. You could spend all day on the forum and picking fights with people. Nobody else got time for that (hint: nobody else was addressing your comments toward me). Yea you will "be here all day", so just stay right there. Hang tight.

Dude get a life... What a loser.
