Any updates on this retrofit? Everyone still happy about it? I am thinking of abandoning the route I was going to take for Emans type r clutch. My car is a daily driver so should I keep the stock CMC?
Would love to hear some success stories about this before I execute.

Does the retrofit cause a CEL? I read the entire thread but I am not sure if it is a definite yes or no.
Also, I plan on getting W1 turbo and possible flex fuel. For a daily driver, will Emans clutch handle this power for an extended amount of time? I know his set up is holding for a lot more than my car will ever put out but I am going to be driving mine everyday to work. I dont know how much of his car is used for commuting vs tracking.

I don’t have it myself but from what I’ve seen/heard, no cel. It should hold your power with no problem for a daily. It should last longer than other clutch options due to it being an oem clutch, which should last quite a long time I believe

I have had Eman's retrofit for a about 2k miles. I have the stock CMC. Upgraded CMC's have a larger pump capacity so the clutch pedal doesn't have to have as long a range to the floor for it to operate properly. I had to have the clutch pedal higher so it has the maximum range available to the stock CMC for it to operate the clutch properly. That is not a real problem for me.

The clutch handles 306 hp in the CTR just fine so it should last a long time. I ran flex fuel for about 7k and a Vit Stage 1 for 3k. My stock Si clutch disk looked almost new, so I wouldn't worry about having to change the CTR clutch in the time you own the car.

I love my new clutch! I allows me to be aggressive on launches without any nagging worries that I am hurting the clutch. It is, after all, an OEM Honda clutch and flywheel.

Awesome reply. Although I still don't know if I should go with the upgraded CMC or not. You explained it well but am a bit low on knowledge when it comes to the clutch. This is the first time I have replaced a clutch in a car.

Great info. What was your driving style like on the Si clutch and flywheel with that setup? Just some occasional pulls?

I usually ran TSP Stage 2 in the map 3 sport mode with the stock clutch. I liked the increased acceleration. I only did occasional WOT pulls. Maybe once or twice a day. I was aware of not overloading the clutch with hard pulls in lower RPM ranges with the higher gears. One time I thought I was in third and went WOT at 26 psi at 3800 RPM and found out I was in 4th gear. It shocked me that it held. I never did that again!

3rd and 4th gear are perfectly fine for the type r retrofitted clutch. 5th and 6th are not meant for it

I think he means the 5th and 6th gear is not the reason you get the retrofit. You get it for the holding power in 3rd and 4th. He is just reminding everyone that you don't get an upgraded clutch to boost in high gears. It is for putting down power in the proper gears.

I full boosted from 2nd->6th. Till I hit redline in 6th, on the stock clutch. Didn't have any issue tho I'm sure it wasn't healthy for the clutch.

I’m not looking to make more power over stock and just want to get rid of rev hang without compromising low speed driving behavior. Sounds like this would be the way to go instead of a tune based delete. For the people who have this retrofit kit installed can you comment on if rev hang is fully defeated without any side effects?

The only way to delete rev hang is to flash a new tune to the car because its an electronic feature. You don't have to add extra power, you can just delete rev hang. I don't have a lighter flywheel but I assume the retrofit will allow your revs to drop faster AFTER rev hang. But the rev hang will still be there.
