First post for me here.

Anyway, Is anyone elses inner fender/fender edge protectors(not sure of exact name) have a 2” gap at the worst possible place like mine? Looked at 6 other Civics they had on lot and all of them fit perfectly snug against the fender all the way down(none were CTR’s but still same part). Service guy blew me off, said he didnt see anything wrong with it, to which I thought, “then you are an idiot”. Mine are NOT doing the single thing they were designed for, which is to keep dirt, rocks, etc out of the inner fender. So, jus trying to see if anyone elses looks this way or if I need to get a little more serious with the guy. Thanks for any help, appreciated

That doesn’t look like a 2” gap, more like 2mm gap. I wouldn’t be too concerned. The fit and panel gaps on this car aren’t that great.
I meant 2” long......

Yeah.. those don't fit 100% perfectly. Bummer. I expect nothing made of cheap plastic to fit 100% perfectly anymore. As someone mentioned above, panel gaps are not this cars strong suite.. Don't look to closely at your front grill either :(

I will have to look at mine later today, but honestly that gap won't bother me as much as the others. This car has crappy gaps all over. The hood and fender gap and trunk gap drives me CRAZY as they are the size of rivers... haha

If yours has a body panel Gaps that are significantly greater that 6 others on the Lot , the service guy is obviously plain LYING when (s)he says that they cannot see anything wrong.

I would take this up with the SERVICE MANAGER, (The buck stops with him, or the Dealer GM) and show him your car, show him the 6 on his lot, and if they do not agree that there is something wrong with yours, its time to find another dealer to spend your hard earned cash with, for all your future service needs.

Unfortunately, even if the Manager agrees that yours is not right, there may be little they can actually do to correct the matter, and you run the risk of them actually making it even worse, or damaging / distorting the panels, so they look even worse.

If the Gaps really bother you that much, you might consider getting a GOOD Body shop to look at it (Dealers typically are not good body shop people), and then decide if if it worth it to you to pay out of pocket and get the job done by a professional, and done right.

Seems like the fit and finish on our R's aren't exactly top notch. We paid simply for it's performance, sadly. After my stupid front bumper indent I'm noticing and reading lots of "issues" with pant and panels and mouldings.

My side moulding has an interesting gap on the passenger side FWIW.

This is what all the others on their lot looks like. Close enough that rocks, dirt and tons of water arent getting behind the inner fender and setting in there causing rust overtime.

Yeah, it definately felt like the service guy was blowing me off. Wish they had another CTR so I could see if they are the same way. But all the other Civics they had were nothing like mine. They were completely flush against the fender.
