I know many will say just read the manual. But want to here what you guys maintenance routine is. Im currently at 6000 miles and was wondering what upcoming maintenance i should be aware of.

I believe your very first maintenance is going to be an oil change and tire rotation. Your maintenance minder should indicate "A 1" for the service. HTH.

One surprise came for me at 45K and the maintenance minder said I need to change the brake fluid. I drive mostly highway, so I don't understand why I needed to change it. Normally I would do this and the coolant change at 60K. But I had to follow MM because I have an extended warranty and didn't want to void it.

This is my normal schedule, unless otherwise suggested by MM:

Every 7500 miles: Oil change and add fuel injector cleaner to gas tank
Every 15000 miles, Tire rotation, air filter and cabin filter change - change the filters yourself because Honda charges a ridiculous amount
Every 30000 miles, Transmission fluid change
Every 60000 miles, Brake fluid and coolant change

Honda puts a time interval, not mileage, on brake fluid. Its either 2 years or 3 years. Can't recall which.

It's a 2016, so it must be 3 years.

What kind of fuel injector cleaner do you use?

I use Techron fuel injector cleaner every oil change at every 5,000 miles

One thing to watch out for when adding Injector Cleaner to your fuel tank,

Its a CLEANER, but it is not Intelligent .. it will clean everything it comes in contact with, including any contaminants in your tank from dirty fuel, etc , and then that contaminated fuel will flow out of the tank, through the fuel pump, towards your Injectors.

Hopefully, the Fuel Filter will stop the contaminants reaching the Injectors, but it does mean that your Fuel Filter should probably be changed more often that the normal service recommendation.
