Anyone else feel like their car’s shifting quality is super unpredictable?

So this morning I was driving around with low gas (35mi range remaining) and noticed my shifts felt super clunky no matter what I did. I went to fill up, and for some reason when I drove out of the gas station my shifts were BUTTER smooth. Now I’m not saying that having a full tank of gas should affect your shifter in any way, but.. :dunno:

Same ... I had the worst second gear chrunch ever this morning and was like ... Maybe it's because I have sport on? It's too the point where I have PTSD and psyche out with the 1 2 shift because ... It may get dicey ...

I have even noticed wearing different types of shoes messes up my feel for clutch engagement. When I go to the gym in my running shoes, my shifts are rough (until I get used to the difference). My civic is only a few months old, so I’ve worn those same shoes Driving my old manual civic with no difference. The only thing worse than the soft clutch on these cars is the paint workmanship. The paint is softer than Liberace at the playboy mansion

I agree with it being unpredictable!! I can jump n and go, then it is clunk, clunk when changing gears. Then the next drive cant even tell I passed through the gates.

Don't even get me started on the f*ing second gear!!! I am so SO tired of grinding second.

In my sport hatch, upshifts are smooth, downshifts are clunky -- I'm finding that heel-toe 4-2 or 3-2 are easy, but 5-4 or 5-3 often needs a prudent double-clutch.
