I keep looking at those too - thinking the blackwood or the grey burl would look great. But I was told it was tacky. I'm kinda annoyed at the bigger brushed aluminum panels on the dash - as the one over the glove box looks mauve to me depending on the light.

Do it and take pics - then I may pull the trigger. ;)

Im not a big fan of the aluminum either.Problem is i only want to cover the existing pieces of aluminum.I don't want the large set which has over 50 pieces.Just too much. And the small set doesnt come with the rear door trim pieces.

The "premium" wood in the first pic looks kinda off, but Honda's EV Prototype has this cool woodgrain (probably vinyl) dash and this got me thinking...

Has anyone pulled the trigger on wood inlays for the dash?

Thinking of getting some vinlyl similar to the EV Prototype's dash and masking up the silver trim pieces on my Civic's dash.

I like that too, it's modern and Scandinavian style.

I love that EV. My first Civic was a 2nd gen, so the interior and exterior both feel right at home for me. If I'm still alive when ICEs are finally banned from the road, I'm definitely getting that car.

Bit of a thread revival but here's the wood vinyl I stuck to my dash. The corners are a mess but I'll take some time to see how it grows on me before and if I redo it properly.
