Well guys I did it, I’m saying goodbye. I might get a lot of hate for this but it was a much needed change. I had a 2019 CTR that I daily drove for work. I drove for 8 hours, getting in and out of the car more than 30+ times a day. It was starting to kill my back, well I always had lower back issues and it just made it worse. The R was a great car. I got to meet a lot of awesome people and got a lot of praises for it everywhere I went. But my job is what killed it for me. I was always on this 50/50 chance of trading it in. I always worried what kind of places will I be driving to. City or highway roads? Gravel or muddy roads? Up and down mountain unpaved roads? Everytime I drove somewhere for work and my gps says turn onto, I look at the road and I’m like here we go again... So, I made up my mind. I enjoyed the R while I had it. I put about 11k miles since feb 2019. I installed a injen intake and aFe exhaust on it. Now, it’s coming off and being sold. I ended trading it for a 2019 Ridgeline RTL-T AWD. Which for me, made more since. And hey I kept it in the Honda family still. LOL!! I drove it for two full days for work, and all I can say is I don’t regret it one bit. I don’t worry now about where I’m going. And plus the little things add to my comfort like “adjustable lumbar support”. Hahaha!! I’m going to miss the CTR a lot. I hope I don’t get too much hate for this post. A lot of you guys helped me a lot when I had questions about my R and I really want to thank you all!

My Friend, I am so sad. I missHim already :( But I have a little piece of everyone's R in mine. I have Knuckle's (your R) red paint on my tag. I have Sonic's (our buddies blue R) I have his RMM, front pipe and cargo mat and rear wiper and.... LOL. I have our buddies White R downpipe in the garage and need to get his R fob cover :). There is a piece of all our fallen Rs in my R. Many happy trails in the new truck (at least its Honda) and from now on, on poker nights you can haul us around in the bed with the in bed cooler full. And you got that AWD now

I couldn’t imagine using my Si, let alone a Type R for work related duty. These are fun toy cars meant for good roadways. You did the absolute right thing, and I’m really digging your new Ridgeline. Very nice truck!

Sounds like you bought the wrong car to begin with. Enjoy the Ridgeline - what'd they give you in trade?

I wish I could have both. But financially it wouldn’t make sense, to pay for a car to just sit there as a weekend warrior. I did that with my Evo X before selling it and I regretted that.

wow, driving for 8 hours and getting in and out of the car 30+ times a day! The 5-door nature of the Civic no doubt makes it very practical, but to me, the TR additions don't....like the seats.....fantastic driving seats, but with all the in/out you do and with the lack of lower lumbar support, and with an already suspect back as you mention, i can see why that just did not work for you after getting the job....with that much driving are you a real estate agent? :)

I have to wedge myself (6'5") into/out of my CTR, and couldn't imagine doing that 30+ times a day.....

good luck...

Twenty bucks says gf/wife/family had absolutely no influence on this decision ;)

Truck purchase = Grown-up decision...Just sayin.
Nope hes a good friend of mine. The daily grind of the car on gravel roads and the in and out did it in. His wife loved the car.

Yeah if i kmow im getting in and out of the car a lot i take my beater ford focus. Can just flop in and out that thing. The CTR the seats are comfortable but a pain to get in and out.
